You might want to play around with the ISO settings or something Luke (or save pictures with less harsh compression), because those pictures have more noise than one of Klutch's raves
i guess because it has blur in some parts of the dog, and non-blur in other parts

I'll have to have a play around. I don't think it is set up properly yet. Anyhow it is my first camera so it will most likely take some time to get used to.
Playing around with G9

The lens reflection came up with a nice color

I can't believe how good those tiny camera sensors have gotten in low light situations.

Quote from majod :interesting, haven't you tried that with long exposure n low light?

Good question. Couple of reasons. In my opinion the look with super long exposures is all done and seen and me thinks it would have shifted the subject from the performer to the long exposure trails.

Plus there would have been some technical challenges to achieve usable shots. No ambient so I would have lost the cool backlight (and I don't have enough strobe power to create that big of a diffused light source outside the warehouse). Second I would have had to shoot on tripod to get the warehouse surroundings sharp (freezing them with strobes would have been another challenge to balance the ratios between outside, warehouse and the performer) and overall make a much larger setup - thus lose the agility that was valued the day of the shoot when it was around -20 Celcius and nuts and tits were freezing already. The warehouse shoot was in-out in maybe 15-20 minutes.

Hope you catch some of the thinking behind the shot - all comments are very much welcome.

Quote from spankmeyer :Hey man, what went on there at that event? The shots looked a bit uninspired if I'm honest. You've done great winter shoots earlier so I was just curious.

To be honest it was quite boring (shitty drivers, shitty roads, slow speed, practically no sideways) plus I was freezing (no glowes). So maybe thats the reason why the shots are like that

Well, the event was nice in overall, but from photographers point of view it was all rubbish. Fun was only in a car

EDIT: BTW only one SS - 2,5km long - try to find some inspiration
Bmup!
Wheee more promo stuff!
