After a few hours of work i have finished my 1st skin for LFS! Thanks to PMK, Desnashe, Raigs, KIG, PedroBR and @nipasadonifuturo (IG) for helping me to use photoshop and sending me pictures of the car! (IS NOT A 100% REPLICA)

When you're setting your racer name, press control on the driver name entry, and under the text you should see 8 colors pop up that you can choose from.


JPG car skin files go to LFS/data/skins, DDS goes to /data/skins_dds.
Other cosmetic files such as interior textures, lights, etc are in /data/dds

Might help if you find one with shadows only,allthough I think the shadows should be managed by LFS,hopefully they're better after big graphics update.

This is what I was thinking about for some time, though I had a slightly different idea. My approarch would be to create svg files from Master Skinners' templates, so there are wiring (polygons) layers in them. Then combining them in a single svg or jpg/other file with wiring hidden and (maybe) watermark added on the skin background. I think I could help with that.

Hello racers. It's been a while since I posted something here!

I like to make my own skins, and recently I had to change my PC. In that switch, I lost my beloved skinning folder with various templates and decals.

Inside that precious folder, I had a clear FBM skin that I used as a base for all my designs. It was just like the one at MasterSkinnerz, but with enhanced shades and details (shades where the sidepod meets the tail, tethers, nose, etc).


It was like this one, but with the details mentioned above.

I'll aprecciate it if someone can send it to me, or if somebody knows what i'm talking about. Ha!

I made a skin of the DSM performance partout 1GA Eagle Talon TSi for XRR, probably works well on any XR's but haven't tried out myself yet

Did some minor corrections(the engine covert part) in the alpha tauri skin,

Tutorial on creating LFS skins using Blender!

So I've know about this method of creating skins for a while now and I have not seen anyone else use it so I'm going to share it here!

With this method you can get cool patterns on the car quickly that line up over the cuts in UV-map. No tedious lining up to do!
