NEW Blend and OBJ Files for All LFS Cars Updated v1.2!
By using the old CMX-importer plugin for blender 2.62 by Bogey Jammer: https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/80064-Blender-CMX-importer-plugin I have managed to get the new interior for GT cars and also update all other cars. I had to fix some UV and make some new materials for this. The Issues from my previous file with the windows and tires are also gone!

The blend file is made in Blender 2.9 and is made for Cycles.

The blend files are basically ready to render.

The obj files named something like bf1export1.obj are the unedited ones from the CMX-importer plugin

The obj files named BF1-2021-OBJ.obj are the ones I have edited. I recommend using these.

The blend files are ready to be used for rendering with blender. There is HDRI lighting and a shadow plane added. There is also one basic camera added.

It turned out to be really good!

I made a comparison of the old file with this new version and it is possible to see several problems that have been fixed.

Thank you so much!

Thank you! I will test it later!!
Great work, thanks for updating this! Not used Blender in probably a decade but still quick to get it up and running with these, cheers.

Just need to figure what I'm actually doing now! (and edit some dds files)

The difference between v1 and 1.2 is almost not noticable Smile I just fixed some issues.

Thanks! Well the new blender versions are much easier to use imo too. With cycles you don't even have to tweak any settings to get good results.
Great job with updated models! So much easier to use now. Think there is still some bug on XRR with the windshield. The clipping white material not sure how to get rid of that.

Great tutorial on Procedural skins using Blender btw. Amazing stuff, made this skin with it and i love how it fits any car i apply it to. Endless possibilities.

Thanks! I though it was kinda weird that I didnt get more respons on that video since its such a powerful method of creating skins. But atleast I know that someone understood the concept now!

Thats a really weird issue you found! Its only visible from certain angles with ceratin skins so I hadnt notice it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

The cause is exactly what you describe. There are 2 meshes inside of eachother. Could be something to make it look like a window sticker in lfs, I have no idea.

The solution is easy: Select the body of the car, go into edit mode and select the weird white material by hovering your mouse over it and pressing L (selecting UV islands). Make sure you have the one thats white and weird at ceratin angles selected and just delete it.

I will have this fixed in the next version!
