LFS development is still going on, at their pace.

In the past whenever Scawen answered someones question, then more questions would be fired back. If he answered them, more would follow - squared. If he didn't answer within 20 minutes, people got shirty!

So I understand why there is no communication from the devs until they have something to announce. They haven't announced the project is dead, so I assume it's continuing.

PS. we paid £12 or £24 for what the content was at the time. Nothing further was guaranteed, they are not our slaves.

I went digging to see if I had any BR skins. Alas not. I didn't do skinning at that time and my backups only go to patch W.

A few old Boomerang Rapido guys ended up at Triple7Racing, like me. Though plenty drifted away again.

I've often though a good grid order would be based on fastest lap. Therefore if you join after race start, you can still do a few laps to get yourself up the grid. I wonder if this is possible with one of the addons.

Of course, I see you're wanting to reverse the grid. May be take another example from BTCC, reverse top 6 to 10 (random). Again done by an addon.

Ideally, less used configurations would be good. This usually means the long tracks, but that requires more racers to stop everyone feeling like they are driving alone.
e.g. Fern Bay Black, the long Aston ones

May I suggest not going with the default midday lighting, and add some wind (might upset those with enough practice to brake at the perfect point every time)

The trick is to perform an action only when two controls are activated.
Is there a shift function in the profiler?
A paddle could be shift key, stick emulates a key press in shift mode.
Then the key press set in LFS for gear change.

Sounds like Tag Team racing, which was done in 2004. There's a video round somewhere by Fordman.
FTO and GTi teams, with a bump up the bum in the pit lane.
Even Scawen took part (this was before driver changes)

I really don't want to get Sky, F1 would be the only strong reason I would want it.
The thing I don't understand is; despite paying a subscription fee, there are more frequent advert breaks than other commercial channels. How much profit is enough?

I’m sure the talented modellers here could prepare the files into an acceptable format. If the devs would be interested in setting up a ‘shop’ there (not including the real-world cars, obviously), it would be a nice complement to the LFS shop for clothing/accessories.

I watched the live data stream from BBC along with the TV coverage. It showed the car positions on the track just the same as the teams and commentators already get, this was the first event where they'd shared it online. It seemed to be about 3 seconds behind the live TV coverage, but you could still see someone come in the pits before it was mentioned.
It's similar to LFS Remote, but without the scenery textures.
Anyone else catch it? They're sharing it for the rest of the season I think.

Something I think I read during last discussion (if I understood it right);
The act also gives bias to the big corporations to the detriment of small independant media creators...
e.g. the BBC use a piece of music where the author is not known, so it's free of charge for them to use. It's up to the author to prove it's their work before they get any credit/reward.
This is different from before where the author will be found in advance of use.
You'd need to check this for accuracy, in case it was just scaremongering.

I've tried LFS World on a Nokia N97 mini, using the default browser, Opera and a couple of other browsers.
In all cases the problem is down to double tapping calls the zoom function. Anyone found a mobile browser without this feature?
