I lean on my G25 when watching movies, I rest my feet on it, I use it as handle when I sit down or get up. No play, 63195 Km and counting.
The shifter is rubbish but the wheel is rock solid, no problems whatsoever, mechanical or otherwise.

I find myself in total agreement with JJ72 and Becky Rose, although a fatal booby trap that could potentially kill a trespasser (without any intention of theft or injury to residents) is a bit rough. That is, if it's comparatively easy to accidentally trespass, farmland for example.

Breaking into a house is different though, you don't accidentally climb a wall or pick a lock. What happens to an intruder is entirely their responsibility.

I doubt it's an original Nintendo controller, in fact I don't think Nintendo do anything other than the standard remote (aka wiimote), nunchuk and the fitness board thingy.

The lack of an orange tip is the manufacturer's tiny, yet clever contribution to China's secret plans of invading the USA. Weaken the enemy by having it kill itself.

Quote from =Wolf=[NO] :You realy think I should strap my self in a harness?

No that would just be inconvenient and utterly pointless since you're not actually moving, but you should sit in your seat as if you were strapped in

Quote from =Wolf=[NO] :Why does ppl think there will be a argument from stating a opinion?

Because it often does.

Run and quit LFS once making sure cfg.txt IS writeable, so NOT read-only. LFS will populate the file with all config parameters on exit.

How exactly would an orange tip on the wii-gun prevent the father from putting a loaded gun on a table in reach of the 3yr old? It's not the companies fault.

And as I said before, there is no game suitable for a 3yr old that requires a gun controller, there is absolutely no reason why a 3yr old would play with any gun, real or toy.

Your seating position is completely wrong, that seat would offer decent lumbar support and you don't use it at all. Imagine a 4 or 6 point harness, you'd be bolted to that seat like you should be. What's more you're restricting your own movement by sitting too close to the wheel, but that would probably be sorted just by sitting in the seat and not just on it like you do in the video.

When shifting, grab the knob, don't throw the stick vaguely into the right direction. The G25 shifter may be delicate, but it can take proper shifting just fine. You're not doing yourself a favor handling it differently than a real car just because it's so light and a short throw.

As for the drifting; Considering the steering lock mod was used, it was rather poor. The angles you pulled can be achieved with 36° just as well.

It's nice allowing people to see your actual driving, but when you prefix it with "How Live for Speed should be played", you better make it a bloody awesome performance. This didn't qualify in my opinion.
I'm not trying to provoke an argument, I'm just voicing my honest opinion

Quote from JJ72 :Didn't know the Wii has a gun like that, I thought they only have the wii zapper. which wouldn't lead to this happening.

And no game for a 3yr old would require it anyway.

Ales, who made the layouts, left Team Fortitude and took the server with him, figuratively. There is no connection between the toplist (your second link) and the new Lfs.si server.

Quote from menantoll :I'm sure I've seen a video of scawen driving a real fbm. Wouldn't he want to make it as real as possible?

The FBM doesn't have ignition cut, its transmission is simulated correctly. It's the vehicles with ignition cut that are not, in my opinion. They should allow downshifting under power. i.e. the ignition cut should be triggered by a shifting operation, no matter if down or up and regardless of the throttle position.

Quote from jamodabestdood :Thanks, whats AA and AF? Sorry im a noob to this (:

Anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering, Options -> Graphics:
  • Full-scene antialiasing
  • Texture filtering / AF
in LFS, alternatively you can enforce both of these settings (if supported by your hardware) in the graphics adapter driver settings.

I don't know of any existing solution for this particular problem, but joining a host, selecting a car and setup, a colour scheme, ... pretty much everything there is to be done, can be done via InSim.

You all can't read apparently. It's NOT available for download yet, it's part of the next Revolution Pack. What is available on the RP blog are bigger versions of the screenshots posted in this thread.

Also note that Lynce has NOT confirmed, nor even implied that the RP will include a night mod. He merely outlined that it is possible on South City and explained the necessary steps to achieve a realistic looking night setting.

Quote from Chupacabras84 :Kinda agree with you here is something to make your live better

1: left click chose open new tab.
2: ctrl + click on the thumbnail.
3: middle mouse on the thumbnail.

Quality of live significantly improved

That's exactly the opposite of what it should be, it should open in the same window but it doesn't thanks to target="_blank".
It'd be 1 click to open, 1 to go back (thumb button, so no need to move the mouse).

You can downshift under power in the BF1 because of its autoclutch which is really only there to simulate the anti-stall. The BF1 is the only car where autoclutch cannot be disabled.

My point is, the ignition cut should allow downshifting under power just the same as it allows upshifting.

I can confirm that this issue sometimes surfaces, particularly if there are multiple windows to manage. dwm obtains focus, causing LFS to minimize and the same thing all over again when you maximize it again. What sometimes works for me then is to quickly switch to LFS, hit Shift+F4 to set it to window mode, then maximize the window and then hit Shift+F4 again to go to fullscreen.

The OP was talking about upshifts in vehicles without ignition cut.
I think the ignition cut should cut regardless of the throttle position, I don't have any real world experience to back this up but though.

Crap codec, crap resolution, no anti-aliasing and worst of all: a full quarter of it is a single car doing crappy donuts.

Like the soundtrack, but that's about it.

FBM and MRT do not have ignition cut systems. What annoys me is that you have to lift to shift down in the cars with ignition cut.
