After test patch phases like we currently are in, new features (e.g. mods support) always get rolled out in the next full version. Wouldn't make sense to keep the mods version and community separate.
About leagues and organized racing, there is pretty much an event every day of the week, like rane said, some days even multiple. Some of them are streamed and commentated live by Sim Broadcasts. See this week's schedule for example: https://www.lfs.net/news/1448 . On some events, for example FM GTi Thursday or FOX Friday, we are usually filling up all the server slots and we have to miss those who don't qualify in Top 40 .
As for community, the LFS Discord server is also growing big now! If you prefer to join, you can find it in Discord's Server Discovery search feature, or join using this link: https://discord.com/invite/wZrUTJN
The 120-limit has been misunderstood many times recently... It's not a limit for the whole vehicle mod database on lfs.net, but rather a whitelist-like limit for a single server: a server will be able to allow/whitelist 120 different mods (identified by skin ID), which the server allows to be used. This feature is not implemented yet, though. Quote:
Hosting:
Just tried the free server creation, works nicely, and the server management on lfs.net is a nice package! As stated, upon me leaving, after a while it stopped running. Great!
Some minor things: since there will be no downloadable dcon, you might want to rephrase the Help texts upon clicking "?" next to server parameters in-game, when creating a host (specifically I mean the mention of a local host, or about opening appropriate TCP/UDP ports etc.). Also, the upload bandwidth calculations might not be needed, either (above car selection table).
EDIT: also, a quick notice of how the free hosting works (that it runs remotely, closes after a while) would be fitting upon clicking Start New Host, just to make things clear for those who are not aware.
I was online on Mods Test: Europe 2, was having fun with the Prokart, but then I spectated and alt-tabbed. After a minute or so, I noticed LFS was no longer running. I have an entry in Windows logs, but there's no details I could add to the crash, it surprised me as well (and made me question whether I did close LFS or not )! Couldn't reproduce since.
At first, LFS can be quite overwhelming with all its options, so if you have any questions about it, feel free to ask here on the forums, or on the LFS Community Discord server: https://discord.gg/wZrUTJN. You usually can get near-instant replies there, as there are more than 1,6k members on the server now
The LFS Community Discord server is now publicly searchable via the Discord server discovery tab, which means new users no longer need an invitation link to join!
This should help us grow the LFS community on Discord, allowing people to find and join it more easily.
Session: Race
MPR timecode of incident: 1:23.14.00
Driver(s) involved: pianomen, mandulaa
Brief Description of Incident: unnecessary crashing after chequered flag, made it really hard for me to drive the damaged car back to the s/f line for Top 3
Hi, I am new to LFS. I am just getting back into sim racing after a long absence and needed something I could play online through my not particularly powerful laptop. I am thrilled to have found this site after searching through all the options I could. Far and away the best value on the internet as far as I could see. After getting a feel for things on the demo over a few days I bought the S2 license and so far am very pleased and having a great time learning the cars and tracks available to me - it's everything I was looking for.
Just to clarify the flag beside my name, I am a Canadian living in the Philippines.
Welcome to LFS!

We need a good cruise server in LFS and I don't see any. I've been away from LFS for a while but I miss it. I can host a server on a high end machine and gigabit internet connection if someone with a good insim is interested.
What do you define as a "good cruise server"? I'm more of a racer type, probably did under 10 kms on cruise servers overall throughout the years, so not an expert in the field, but the TC CityDriving servers are really popular, as I always see them on the top of the servers list. Do you count them as not-good-enough cruise servers?
Hi. If not you, someone else surely used your account to unlock LFS. Those unlocks don't just evaporate. More info about unlocks and when you'll get your next one: https://www.lfs.net/faq/33
How often can I unlock?
Initially you will be granted 3 unlocks. In addition, you get an additional unlock available every friday, provided you do not already have 2 unlocks available. So unless you are having severe problems with your computer, you should be fine and always able to unlock LFS again after a reinstallation of Windows for example, or when you buy new computer parts or a whole new computer.
