it should be
1 to 3 1 posistions up allowed
4 to 10 2 posisitions allowed
11 to 20 3 posisitions allowed
21 to 33 4 posistions allowed

then 5 for any outside that bracket

this way no one can go jumping to far without fairness to others in each class

IE class
A
B
C
D
E = entry class

lol u keep making ur statments genrelized and vage but what im saying is LFS is not real life But even experianced drivers reach their limits in real life LFS has helped me surpass my real life limits making me a better driver In real life now im far from a good driver or very experainced but i got out their in my slower car and beat guys that have been racing for years due to my lines and keeping the car slightly sideways through corners rather then relying on front end grip like they do.

Quote from nikimere :Read what i said. I even put the important bits in bold for you.
I said LFS would help anyone get over the beginners bit but it's not going to help an experienced racer at all.

lol no u said it all depends on real life experiance really and anyone that has had real track time its not going to help you that much.

and im dissagreing

Quote from nikimere :He didn't use GP to to train himself to drive an F1 car... lol!
He just used it to learn the track, it gives a driver a good idea of how the corners will look and what direction the track goes. That's it.
LFS wouldn't help you much... it would help a beginner get over the really n00b stage but anyone who has had real track time it's not going to help you all that much. Maybe a very little bit on race craft... it all depends on RL experience really.

i have to dissagree with this LFS has tought me alot when it comes to driving on a track either drifting or racing befor lfs i would understeer my car into allmost any corner and this is a 370 HP rwd manual with a locker. but now i can get the back sliding ever so slightly on entry to exit IE NOT drifting racing with slight over steer and drifting in RL is differnt then lfs but lfs still helped me to realize drifting isent all about power

and i have had track time i frequent the track days here in aus every chance i get most of the time driving my shitty commodore and keep up with the skylines

bad idea wouldent work would require to much codeing and would make the online feild unfair, how ever i would like to see some kind of progression for online races and winning races rather then just laping quicker and having ur stats stored,

things i would like to see is
being able to setup boost duty and psi (once engine wear is right)
maybe the ablity to change spoilers on certant road cars For more down force
abilty to change wheel size's as in i wanted to drag i would put on the smallest rim i could IE 13's with lots more rubber at a lower psi for staight line grip

but these idea's may conflict with current car pshysic's IE incorrect car reponse so if they do (DONT DO THEM )

Quote from Hankstar :I'd like to see a tad more realism in the way the car runs out of fuel instead of what we have now, where you just run out instantly and that's it, game over.. If you've driven a real car you'll know (after a couple of days of ignoring the fuel warning light because petrol's AUD1.40/L) that it'll stutter a bit when fuel is really low, and if you nurse it you can go a few more miles before it runs out completely (and hopefully make it to a servo). This may only be applicable to road cars (I've not driven a GTR or F1 lately ) but having at least a sporting chance of getting to the pits on low fuel in a road car would be nice.

ok let me explain something
cars fuel tanks arnt like a funnel the fuel moves around so lets say the pump is on the right side when u go around a right corner all the fuel flows to the left same thing happends when breaking or accelrating fuel moves around and if your really low on fuel this can cause the pump to suck in air pockets and then u get the car trying to stall.

Now This dosent happen in all road cars Some Road cars are fitted with a factory swivel tank/surge tank to prevent air pokets geting into the injectors Most race cars have this and even MY 86 commodore has a factory Surge tank.

so unless the devs can code the way the fuel moves when g force is applyed i dont think their is a point in having the car run out of fuel differntly cause it will just be the same every time and still be unrealistic

but low fuel waring would be easy to code and usefull to make it feel a little more real

i can see where he is going with his idea and i can see what other people are saying but what i say goes ok NO ARGUMENTS

we need to be able to have Team Socca matchs with gole posts and a ball that we ram out cars into to score points (like Top gear socca)

PS. i really dont want that but i could see it being amusing for like 5mins of fun

Quote from mrodgers :My PB is from quite some time ago at 1:31.72. Not all that fast, but fast enough for me.

nice set but im a little confused how i can make up 3 sec westhill +GTR's is one of the most inconsistant combos for me some times i can do a corner easy and next lap its slower but i allmost go off due to missing the road camber and help or hints would help me alot

PS first 5 laps with ur set

maybe this would be good in enduro races with good engine dmg physic's but untill then i see no need for it at all. and in LFS it can be hard to overtake someone thats only .3 of a sec per lap slower then u

good luck with the lessons

Im Far From a LFS fan boy and still beleave LFS is one of the best if not the Best racing sim i have played it dose lack small details in some aera's but it feels better then any other sim i have played.
Most other racing sims have bad compatabilty with the DFP and bad Force feedback but lfs is allmost on par with the feeling of the cars.

I feel LFS really needs a big update i been here for a really long time befor even hex editing was done to mod the cars pre demo days and to me not much has changed in the visual department and personaly i dont care about the looks of the game its about the content and feel for me.

PS i wonder if anyone thought maybe eric is busy working on S3 stuff IE new cars+tracks? (i hope he is) i really dont want to wait 2 years to see S3 cause by then ill be doing my on racing :P

i would say if they really pushed it and had the car setup perfict and had a good driver low 5mins maybe 4's would be do able but i dont think their is a person on earth that has enough skill combinding with a death wish to attempt it

Quote from XCNuse :speaking of staying up that long, sorry for the O/T, but according to popular science, if you stay up for 72 hours (strange coincidence) you can experience the same effects you get from LSD (yes the drug)

i can tell u now this isent true :P LSD is so much better

lol i had this problem a few years back geting S1 someone had to buy it for me as i wasing paying 80$ for the money order then 30$ on top of that for the s1 licence back then i didnt have access to a debit card credit card or any other means of paying for it and 110$ for S1 was out of the question.

so guys give some of the demo users a break if they truly want to upgrade

i dont think any of this is fair as i could just do this and it wouldent be a fair time i think all attempts should be done with a SPR and how the hell do u do the drag strip in hot lap mode? it keeps saying wrong way for me

nice deal ur friends geting
as for modds if its a VG30 V6 that i think it is just get 2 GT35-40's with .82 wheels and twin turbo it ECU and injectors and fuel pumps should be good for about 400-500hp till the pistons go or just Big intercooler more boost and more fuel works well on turbo cars
