Hi,

Sadly I don't think there is a possible solution for now, we need for scawen to look into it, because I never had such problem before the multiplayer update.

I suspected the ISP for blocking LFS somehow, but since all other multiplayer games are working perfectly so it's probably from how LFS handle UDP/TCP interface.

But it working using VPN software, so that's why I suspected the ISP.

Same problem here since a long time, I think even if he switch to TCP the others still cannot see him.

It's either from the wifi, or from LFS who have some trouble with packets losses ????

I think there is no possibility to set a proper fresnel effect with the old spherical projection, though your reflection look very fine but it reflect too much at every point of view without any respect to the sun/specular position, but its the system limitation so we can't do much about that. Shrug

On the other hand we have the new reflection system, I am not sure if it has the same spherical projection but only with sky and some high objects and fresnel effect, I dont know why scawen keep with this type of projection because it make the fresnel useless with the black thing around the edge of the car, plus no near the horizon object reflected which is sad but understandable since scawen said he won't do more because of game performance .

Maybe nacim can take a look at the shaders code and see if there is a possibility to make it into somthing near horizontal projection, like someone did with the old reflection shader.Smile

Good news for those who like LFS and want to thanks to devs with a little contribution, hopefully we will see more content and also an update for the old ones.

I will try to get this S3 if I can pick a deal with someone outside of the country, thanks to the gouvernement who closed exchanges with outsides economie because of the oil crisis, it will be very difficult to find a way for purchasing things from now...

that's a quick jump into conclusions you did here.

You know there is alot of people who like physics/gameplay features and graphics stuff, like it or not when it correctly done ( like Iracing ) it play a huge role to improve the immersion.

I personally like both, never really stopped playing LFS because of graphics, but I always said to myself such a nice simulation with solid multiplayer deserve a little bit better looking, it's true being used to mess with raytacing renders doesn't help me too much either.

Anyway I will always support every tiny step to a better looking sim.

Also there is no solution atm for our problem, try to connect with the network wire (RJ45) directly with the modem to see if your problem are some packets lose from the wifi, but I suspect that isn't much help to resolve the problem.

Tbh I suspect the internet provider for blocking LFS port, on purpose or not.

Also it would be nice if you can improve the ambient light emission for the car body, when a part is not facing the light source the shadows are way too dark, actually LFS has probably something close to that :



An additional light to simulate ambient occlusion will give a better result :




And it's very useful to simulate a metallic shader :
