And whilst I´m at it, may I suggest he is using "blip at gear change down"?, since if you change up to say 6th and rapidly change down to 2nd it gives that blip on every downshift thus gives a km/h or two everytime if throttle pedal is just kept floored.

I be stealing your thread.

How much heat can chipsets usually take?
As the fan on mine stopped last night which crashed the computer.
But when booting it, in the starting screen I have option to ignore the message saying "chipset fan is not working, or it is working at too low speed".
So if I just press the key to ignore it, would I be in how much of a risk to peter my computer?

I´m going to buy a new computer at the beginning of the next month tho, but I can't live without me pc for that long ;D

The fan has done it's stopping thing odd month ago, to fix it I deattached the fan, opened it and cleaned it from dust and such and added a drop of proper "oil", worked till yesterday. Would do it again but dont have the tools myself and the place I fixed it last time can't be visited in the coming week.
Can't really put a new fan in it neither, cos it is rather small, yet it's just and just small enough to get my gfx card fitted without being in the way.

So, is it ok to make the chipset suffer a little bit?

Yes, but fwd is gay, and xrg rocks, xrg also hasnt been used in the past season neither.

Yes Paulie, I wasnt talking about fully reversed grid neither but top8 or so

And the idea behind reversing the top, is to make it a bit more intresting race rather than just follow the leader for two laps and then just hotlap it till the end.
ESCC at least has provided very intresting and good racing using that method.

If there is a sprint race and a main race in an event with top8 or whatever reversed, the sprint race should be worth less or just equal amount of points rather than the main race.

In the end you still score more points the higher you finish.
Making the "strategic" choise of dropping a position in sprint race just puts you in a risk of losing that already achieved point(s) incase of accident or such in the main race.

Having both races the same length and somewhat reversed grid, indeed should have the same difference in points of a positions, except the first position.

Just my two cents.

Well, I be getting up in 9 hours, taking a bus to airport and heading to France

All started when someone on IRC told me that there is a Ford GT40 on show at some local "sparepart shop" along with Force Dynamics 301 running LFS on it.

I decided to go and see the car, was way more intrested in trying out lfs on FD tho .
So I arrived the scene and first thing I sw was the FD machine. there was one guys just getting off from it and some mildly elder man ready to take a ride,
So once I reserved my spot next in the line the guy was on his last lap (Everyone was allowed to drive 3 laps with 2 of them flying, combo was BL1 with BF1) Man gets wide in t1, rejoins barely the track, hits the barriers, takes a moonflight and I´m pretty sure crapped his pants once the FD went nuts

So, the man cripples off the machine and it gets to my turn, god damn, the thing moves was my first reactions, cant really remember the laps anymore but I got my best lap that recorded for the competition on my first flying one, cocked up the next.
The time was 1.00.1 (mind the slowness, the setup was horrible, lacked 30km/h on the back straight 0/30 df settings etc) at that point the time was about 4 full seconds faster than the 2nd fastest, but seeing that I lost 8secs to the WR didnt quite satisfie me. I got off the thing and all I saw was :bigeyes2::bigeyes2: from the employees, then they informed me that the 1st price was a trip to lemans, and then I was all O: .

They visited around 10-15 citys and towns and about a month ago I received a call and was informed that I be going to the Le Mans. inhaled my coffees then too

Sorry for the OT and the text, but I´m just like a little kid waiting when to open the Christmas presents

My suggestion would be to drop the sled off, or at least change of track, since sprint2 is nothing but an alleyway, not even a close to a circle to have a race on, nevermind a track.

And I´d suggest lx4 to be driven on WE reversed too, not driven there too much but everytime I had the chance it felt like right next to eating candy.

I personally would like to see some variety on the choosen combos.
Some xfi+xrg action would be nice also, on a track where they are competetive.
For the starting time I must suggest 20.00 UTC, as 21 would already be midnight for Finns in the summer time.

I´m sure Mercury will show intrest in the upcoming season.

On South City Classic the three seems to be quite nicely balanced.
Been driving mostly the XRT, achieving lap time of 51.35 after several laps.
Did a quick try with the fxo also, only 25 laps and got 51.52.
I am not really experienced with fxo neither so in right hands I'd sugges it gets a low 51 at least.
Didn't try the rb4, but the fact it hasn't changed I can tell from the WR that it's good 51.3 to 51.6 in a quick race.

So on a track where both speed and cornering abilities matters, they seem to be quite nicely balanced for shorter races.

Have to agree with Clownpaint here.
If the amount of cars on tracks was 40 or so it would be nice thing to mix classes, but even on last season with 17 or so cars around it felt a bit lonesome at times.

From my limited experience with tbo class:

It seems to me that fxo is a tad slower than the xrt or rb4 almost on every track. But the extra weight on xrt has really made it uncompetive against rb4 on tracks where rb4 already was faster.
I tought that rb4 and xrt were pretty equal, on a single lap at least, around the most tracks, other having the edge on some tracks whilst the other having the edge on some other tracks, before the extra weight.

But I´m glad this is getting into the right direction at least
