if you want flashing lights why not try the Need for Speed game that had police cars in it.

Quote from pfpdoodlez2009 :I'm with the idea of a safety car.

+1

No no no no no, NO

-1,000,000

No sirens, no wind up windows, no kids as passengers or baby seats, no mcdonnalds drive thru's or retails parks.

It's a racing simulator, please let Scavier keep it that way.

why one earth would you want to open the windows???
open windows causes more drag. (not that the airflow is modelled to that level).

It seems like a daft request to me

Quote from FPVaaron :Or are giving their details so all their friends can try...

Exactly, the only logical reason for needing more than 2/3 unlocks per week is if you are giving you details to other people.

I have never run out of activations; I recently used 2 in one week after re-installing windows twice in a day (it was a bad day!)

Play any "racing" game from the Need for Speed Stable, Grid, or even the recent F1 title.
They look good but do they handle like LFS?
Try them and draw your own conclusions.

there is a popular arcade series of racing games made by electronic arts, if you are more bothered about looks than handling, then I suggest looking at that series.

haha...

This reminds me i have 3 RC cars in various pieces in various boxes in my loft somewhere.

Got a traxxas nitro hawk, first ready to run nitro truck by traxxas, doesnt handle too well but goes like sticnk in a straight line thanks to the stinger 360 tuned pipe.

Few years lated bought a CEN 4wd nitrobuggy, cant tell you much more about it except i stripped it after a extended run and still (8+ years later) havent put it back together.

Finally got a traxxas revo, pimped it, fettled it: crashed it. Not been driven in 2 years.

I think i ought to get in the loft later and find all the bits and put them back together.

I love the smell of burnt nitro in the morning

Yes, YOU USED A HOOKEY DISK

if you purchased a genuine key, why not just reinstall from the original genuine DVD that the genuine key was stuck to?
If you install from a bootleg/pirated/cracked disk, you will be loading non legit software, i.e rootkits, trojans, virus's etc along with modified windows core files.
Why would you install off a hookey disk with a pukka key, doesnt add up!

do you use have any other profiles set up on the wingman profiler?
sometimes i have to switch profiles to make the LFS profile work correctly, I have setup a dummy profile to switch to then back to LFS profile when the f9-f12 buttons missbehave on the wheel.

that maybe the issue you are having.

Quote from Cornys :Anyways.. I want to go to 1 place to find my PB's... not 2... I'm lazy, and don't particularly like Airio's website

Well why dont you parse your PB's from LFWS and Airio and store them in your own database, that's what I do.

split3 times missing

just noticed that LFSW pubstat pb lookup returning all 0's for split3 times.
looked on lfsworld desktop and all tracks only showing split1 and split2 times.

has the 3rd split been dropped or is it an error?
gandlers

scratch that...
its LFSW stats not returning split3 time.
split3 not returned.

Dygear,

just updated to 1.9.7, I'm afraid that PB retrieval isn't returning vales for split3. tried 1.9.6 and thats doing the same: just returns 0 for split 3 time.

cheers

wow,

uber fast response... impressed

while im on i did make a slight change to the convert_lfsw_time function. changed the padding to make the second have a leading zero as times such as 1:07.34 would display as 1:7.34

function convert_lfsw_time($time) {
return sprintf('%d:%06.3F', floor($time / 60000), (($time % 60000) / 1000));
}

Just discovered the SDK and am currently having a play.... fantastic work btw.
I have however noticed a "feature"; the SDK->get_pb function isnt retrieving (or returning maybe) the fuel column, if i query LFSW manually using the pubstat url i get a final fuel column.

I have tried to decypher the code to work out where the issue lies, but the code is a bit too complex for me to work out what the hell is going on.

I am using 1.9.5 alpha btw

cheers

Quote :External views (TV, helicopter and SHIFT+U mode) are always drawn as
a single render and confined to the same area as the 2D interface.

Isn't the 2d interface the HUD and menu's?
If the answer is yes then this quote is irrelevant as firstly the quote comes from a post regarding test patch Z17 from nearly 2 years ago and I can assure you that my external views span all 3 screens (and the menus and HUD only appear on the center screen).

The problem is NO BEZEL COMPENSATION on external views across 3 screens.
triple screen graphics options bug???

I have recently got an Nvidia surround 3 screen setup and have noticed that there appears to be a bug relating to the options for the 3 screens.

The in car view is fine, after spending a while setting up bezel compensation, monitor angles and FOV.

The problem occurs with "full width external views" set to yes. the view correctly spans all 3 screens, but there is no bezel compensations slider and bezel settings from the driver view aren't used on the external view. This means that the images aren't aligned as objects that should be hidden behind the bezels are visible.

Also in full width external views, the zoom is too tight on the observed racer and could do with pulling out slightly, or better still have the mouse wheel enabled so you can alter the zoom manually.
