Download "process hacker" and post a screenie with all the processes expanded...

Also, a log from "Hijack This" would be handy....

Not being able to access Windows Update or antivirus sites is a tactic loads of viruses use nowadays to stop them being removed.....

What happens when you try to run Explorer.exe from the run command in Task Manager?

Quote from BenjiMC :Logitech wheel? You have to set it in profiler. Go to options>global device settings and untick the box for "report combined pedals"

Thats the cc tho.... It fails just like every other convertible car out there... I.E. Astra, BMW M3, Magane CC....ect ect... That CC to the Micra is the same as the new Tigra is to Corsa... a 2 seater handbag version...

EDIT: The Micra CC does have rear seats... For maybe dolls and teddies...

Yea the 1L 12v Corsa is miles better/faster than a 1.2 8v.. My sis had a 1.2 8v and i thought it was fked until i drove another one and it was th same...

How about the new shape Micra?.. Had one a few years ago as a hire car and its easily th best handling of th small cars, Much better than the old understeer deathtrap model.... Quite stiff and sporty feeling too considering it isnt a sporty model...

Plus it will be really cheap to insure and has 70bhp in the 1L instead of the 55bhp in the Corsa 1L....

Lol, i cant believe u's are still busting ma balls over something that happened 4 years ago....

Anyways, Where are you getting ur quotes and how old are u? On 3 different sites i looked at for a 1.9tdi A3 after just passing test @ 17 is about £3800 FC... 4k ffs

An Astra SXI 1.8 16v with all extras is £3100....

Insurance is going to be mental high whatever u get for ur first car...,, Why not spend just a little more and get something Sporty and fun?...

So im a dick and a danger to everyone on the road because i drove for 2 hours without telling th insurance my mods years ago?... Fair enough... Tho i think 80% of drivers that mod their cars are guilty of the same thing.... Tho they never will tell the insurance...

Still 9 years NCB... Cant be too much of a danger....

Nathan, the car had 93 miles on it since getting Mot'd n Taxed before the lady crashed into me.. I had the car back for maybe 2 hours after it being away for weeks getting the work done.. The docs were going to get changed anyway because my broker said id probably get cheaper insurance because of some alternative policy or something due to not having a specific model code for being 3L...

I never condoned or promoted what i did in my previous posts. I told an unbiased thing that happened...

Yet you still went off on a dick calling preach....

Driving is my favourite thing and iv spent too much money and time over the years keeping everything tiptop, Insured, taxed ect ect... I cant risk my licence due to being bugger all work here....

You never used a car with maybe a close to bald tyre for a few days ever before?.. Just as illegal, tho more dangerous than this.....

Who u calling a dick you cock sucking rat cnut?... wtf should he not listen to? I was only telling about what happened to one of my cars years ago and the Corsa 2l was tongue in cheek ffs, It was that or a Skyline i was going to post... No need to get all on ur high horse about laws and morals, i didnt tell him to do one or the other... Also about pushing up premiums.. Thats women drivers and young idiots faults not mine... Ive had 4 accidents in over 10 years of driving..... Once was my fault just after passing my test (young idiot).... the 3 other times were women driving like women and not looking where they were going... Having 9 years no claims doesnt push premiums up....

So is pearcy in Nathans dick and dork boat for using mods without insurance's knowledge years ago too?

EDIT: Also, i mean idiot drivers that are young, not young drivers are idiots....

Quote from Nathan_French_14 :Sure, he could do that. He's screwed when he has a crash though as it would make his insurance invalid.

Maybe... My Astra v6 was a 2l on th docs and i still got a payout when a woman drove into th back of me. They were a little funny about the cone filter being a mod but didnt see the quad cam v6 lol...

Just dont drive like a cock and you shouldnt plow into anyone or end up in someones garden... Tho playing LFS for years before even getting behind the wheel of a car might be a bad thing....

Corsa 1.4 16v cdx? Same performance as a Sport with 1/2 the insurance cost..... Just lower it and put Sport seats in and you have a better and cheaper sport....

I did that with a Cav CDx 16v a few years ago instead of getting another Sri.. Saved me £900 on insurance.... Id also get 105mph in 3rd instead of the Sri's 92... Great for overtaking lol...

Seems to be a recurring problem with Xp64. Upgrading to Win7-64 fixed it in another thread...

Has the game always been like this or just started dropping fps recently?....

Might seem a silly question but did you have a damaged cd/dvd in the drive?... Had problems before with computer crashing and not booting due to this....

Meh, Each to their own.. Still, there are loads of free software out there to choose from that would offer the same protection, if not better as Nortons yearly £40 subscription...

As i said, they all do the same thing roughly so why bother with a subscription?... Ive never had a problem in 10 years using free software. (Well the odd problem but nothings 100%)

Meh, They all do the same thing roughly....

Personally ive been thru Blackice, Norton, Zonealarm/AVG and now Comodo...

I like Comodo atm just for the tiny 12MB memory usage for antivirus/firewall and the many virus updates daily.. Its also loaded just as the Task bars on the screen, The others seem to take a good few seconds before they are loaded and ready to use...

Quote from Jakg :Not the new one suprisingly.

Windows comes with no AV as standard - you get the rubbish Windows Firewall and the anti-spyware Windows Defender.

The new Norton is better than before but still miles behind other products... Also, do you not have to buy a yearly subscription for Norton?

Comodo is free and much less resource hungry...

EDIT:

Comodo Internet Security should work in Windows 7. Its got a Firewall and antivirus and doesnt use much resources... Free too with many updates each day...

Also, Spybot-Search&Destroy, Use it to block lots of crap from coming through internet explorer..

You wont need anything else for protection really after that..

Theres a few services you can turn off in Windows 7 too to make it faster.. Also turning off those UAC prompts can make things less stressfull....
