I never remember the GTi being able to use Road super. I voted no because I understand the Standard road cars are supposed to be standard. But I also like Tweaker's idea. When I played around with Slick Mod a while ago the TBOs where great fun with grippy tires.
I think you'll find there are very many games that are released claiming to be post beta/finished products, when they clearly are not. EA and BF2 as a prime example. patch after patch released to fix issues with very basic, core parts of the game.
Armed Assault is another game that was released unfinished and the developers openly admit it. I do like Arma and have never had issues with it, just pointing out that other companies do do it and most try to act like they aren't doing it.
Cant say Ive noticed hugely weird looking cambers, I have seen some pretty extreme cambers being used in racing though. I have always wondered why people in LFS use such high ride height settings on the GTR cars though.
Since getting LFS I have never bothered even trying another race sim, this makes me glad I never have. People give out about LFS graphics, I played this at 1600x1200 all details maxed and I still prefer the clean smooth look of LFS. Same for the sound, worse than LFS imo. And the handling? didn't like the constant rumble in the wheel and the FFB in general didn't feel good. Never tried the multiplayer.
Not too bad for free I guess, not my cup of tea though.
Mostly its because of the resolution the skin was created at. That last skin I made was at 2048x2048. Also, using vector graphics as much as possible for logos and decals helps very much (if you can find them).
I too have this wheel and would also be interested in knowing what settings other owners are using.
Giannic: If you have calibrated it in LFS and its still steering wonky, there may be something wrong with the wheel. I am only able to calibrate mine in LFS as the old crappy sidewinder software was never updated to be used with XP32/64. I use XP64 and it just works, I cant access the sidewinder controlpanel, but I have never needed to as I can always just set it up in LFS.
Yes, its very intuitive. Just hook up every cotroller you want to use, then load lfs and assign every thing from there. At the moment i use:
1. MSFFB Wheel
2. Generic wheel for clutch
3. MSFFB joystick for H shifter
4. Saitek X52 for all other controls like vote/Pit setup/tyres etc
