So far no probs with the test patches here, just getting used to the new LOD settings. There was one thing that threw me for a couple of days though. Is the Mip bias being reset to default 2.0 with these test patches? I noticed my GFX got very "shimery", until I put the Mip Bias to 0.0. I cant remeber what I use to have it set at before the Test patch with the LOD changes.
agreed, I enjoyed racing with you yesterday round SO thats a kick ass combo, but why did I have to wait this long to find out. Sorry for the bump on the last lap btw
Thumbs up also to DMR for their odd combos. always so much fun and a friendly group of guys to boot
the google fight isnt really fair though. As Amiga means some thing other than a computer brand.
Did Atari finish with the ST, as far as home computers go? they never had a competitor to the mighty A1200.
First I had an A600, which was kind of an abomination I guess. Then I got an A1200. I had a 3.5 inch HD crammed into my A1200 case. Bulged a bit and reset if you pressed to hard on the casing above the keys. But boy an amiga with a HD was sooo much better. Alas i never got afford an Amiga 4000, before Bill Gates had his wicked way with me
hmm i reckon the earlier a game is in its development the more changes there would be...
it really hasnt been long since the last patch. besides the community always has some thing new to offer to stave off the boredom. Have you tried Dave's new sounds yet?

Great photos. I remember seeing those six wheeled cars before. What was the idea behind these cars?
Where both rear sets of wheels powered? what kind of crazy heavy differential would have been used there? Did the extra weight on these cars not immediately outweigh any performance increase for the extra wheels.
far from being embarrased, i reckon scawen is well proud of his old work, and protective of it too, with good reason. could be looked at as the core engines and physics we know today that make S2.
Noticed the 1991 series of TopGear is now on Google video. Its nothing like current TopGear you understand, but still good. Its amazing how dated looking the cars are, I remeber when all this stuff looked so modern
Plus there's also the bonus of checking out out Clarkson's incredible afro lol
I know what you mean. What I hate most is the fact that a lot of these blue flag incidents are on your last lap of a flipping 5 lap race. You were driving along having fun with other clean drivers battling out for maybe 3rd 4th or 5th (in my case usually ) and some one joins the race who is getting in the way, saying they have a right to be passed cleanly. Why cant they just wait until the race is over and join the next one? In stead of ruining everyone else’s race. I don’t care how fast or slow they are.
Its almost like they put themselves in that situation just so they can say "blah blah, im entitled to battle for my position..." highly irritating.
I have thought about this before. LFS network code is pretty good. Maybe these are side efects of having a solid network code. Doesnt mean of course that it should stay like this forever. But If thats the reason for it or part of the reason for it, I can put up with it for the time being.
