But last week I put in 350 laps offline in the BF1 for Aston Testing, and approx 200 more for KY3. Plus many on the Oval for KY1 suspension improvements.

I am addicted to S2.

But to be honest (DONT TRY THIS)....

Before I bought it ... I had it cracked just to try it out privatly.... as a 'S2 Trial' so to speak.
I bought LFS in full only a week later after that. And now I am still around (as a ghost) in 2010...

This is the first time I am mentioning this here. But some people have their reasons. If you intend to buy it, I think it's moderately ok. If you don't. - I Will Kill Youuuuuu, and so will Scawen.

I will be buying a second account soon, because we are promoting it at the company I work for,this last weekend I showed off LFS at our new store's Grand Opening, and a Lan Party was run until 1AM.

I would kill to find a good event that runs on only saturdays (Harare/Pretoria timezone).... Particularly if it was the Fragmaster 360 degree event on KY1....


If this doesn't convince you to buy LFS and support our great and (moderately) patient developers, then I dont know what will... considering how long you have been a demo driver.

There are alot of dedicated members of the LFS community here, it looks like you could easily become part of the S2 croud of dedicated drivers that will probably never leave. SO do it, I dare you... BUY S2.... then BUY S3 whenever it appears in the next decade.....

We are featuring LFS at the MYPC Grand Opening Event this weekend with a lan expo and LFS is being used to show off company based cars. As well as a locally sponsored race team.

Back a few pages:

1: A driver would be stupid to listen to stupid command from your (apparently) stupid team mates to have to put your own car into a wall deliberately, if that was the case.

2: Seem like this type of thing happens too often. Remember the order they gave to Barrichello a few years back? 'To pull over an let Schumacrap win?'

It's a shame drivers follow such orders to begin with. They would throw their pride out so damn fast.

If I were either driver I would 1) "NOT CRASH" and 2) It's my win.. fair.

That is possible in the future. The physics do accound for tyre compression and such, not the 3D parts yet. Other parts of the program are more important at this point, such as at least getting texture support in (PNG) ...

THere are invisible bodies for the car, and wheels, for both mass and collision detection. Suspension also has invisible bodies ( I think. Would have to check with Slinger).

We can work with pretty any genre. The original 2 games by Psygosis featured Fatboy Slim. But more imnportantly will need sound effects first.

We dont have a sound engine, but music will be needed sooner or later.

@Bob Smith. We are using a realistic physics engine, "Open Dynamics Engine". We have had issues getting the suspension to function correctly, for large cars that will eventually do 400MPH, but the rear tyres of had a bug were they sometimes spinn off axis at high rotation speeds.

Soul SLinger told me yesterday though that this was due to the single threaded game engine and that is wasnt able to compensate for it fast enough. He is almost done with inplementation of multithreading, and this solves alot of issue.

We do want realistic suspension eventually.

Well, a severly damaged suspension in in that sense shouldnt be repairable in that race. Especially if you tore the wheel off.

The only way to prevent it is to introduce a uncommon file format in wich could be encrypted, wich would be encoded by LFS while downloading, with exception of skins that could be marked as public skins.

But this could slow the game down or lengthen the skin download time.
