The concept of "seasonal tires" must sound weird for some in different countries. But ie. in here Finland if I wouldn't change to stud tires when the winter comes I couldn't even get my bloody car to move! Lots of ice and snow means basically zero grip with summer tires.
And yes I changed to summer tires today. No more pitying those boring stud tires and so went for a drive and man it feels good to kick the back end out in dry asphalt again!
I feel like falling in love with my car again...
Old 3dr Ford Sierra, with old faded, ugly paint, maybe few bits what are fixed from rust but painted with cheap spray-bottle (no proper color match), doors having some nice rust on them, arches too. iS rubber spoiler on back. Generally a very ugly car. Stripped interior.
BUT with great handling and a something around 400+ bhp Cossie lump under the hood. Oh and a loud side exhaust.
Then it's not working correctly. I had this problem with Realfeel too, but then I installed the game again with newest version and configured everything how I should it started to work.
Yep, looks like utter shit. GTA IV may have rised the bar for driving physics with games like this, but I think even the Mafia 1 looked better physics wise.
And all that, the city and the cars in it seemed to feel really cheap. I dunno what makes it but it didn't look anything like it should. Looked like one of those cheap ps2 games made for little children but just with some violence in it. Sounds were crap too yea.
In a way I agree that Volvo's are and were ugly. Tho the car in the screenshots isn't ugly in same way, it's ugly like any other modern car is too. Looks like UFO.
But I would love to own a 80's RWD 242 in matte black or similar ugly color, with some noticeable rust and ugly wheels, but with mad fast turbo engine.
I'm just afraid this game won't feature anything similar, probably only boring cars in it.
I tried it but didn't bother to write the song names up.
Tho judging by this my life sounds like a movie about a drug addict who likes psychedelics and usually goes overboard in parties, even in his own wedding. And oh BTW it sounds like when the child born I was having a bad hangover and smoking pot. But judging by the happy sound of final battle it seems like I got over drugs.
I hate that I'm poor.
I hate that in next summer I need to go to the army.
I hate that I yet can't put summer tires on.
I hate that yet my car doesn't make a sound like wooooooosh chachachacahh when I accelerate. And that's because I'm poor.
I hate that I don't have LSD (no not the drug, the transmission thingy).
If I remember correctly I made the collage from the all different ones I've found and then posted it. You could search from my posts if you want to but I think I'm too lazy.
Don't try to analyze my rather pointless post too much.
I don't care about MPG or other things what are so called reasonable things to select your car. My driving style with that slightly tuned engine means very poor MPG but I don't care really. Ok well yes I care, cause I don't have loads of money, but I think it's worth the fun.
And please don't call it Merkur. It makes me sad.And it's more like ~2336 Pounds (~1060 kg). Difference between 3400 and 2336 pounds make a huge difference for performance & handling, that's what matters for me. My car doesn't have anything so called luxury, because I don't care about them. It doesn't even have a radio or electric windows. I have been thinking about stripping the interior a bit (but still keep the backseat).
I just hate modern cars, SUVs maybe a bit more than sedans etc. but I just hate them. It's matter of taste.
+ Having a 4WD doesn't really matter for me during winters, because I have proper stud tires under my car thru the whole winter.
I believe that your car servers nicely in the purpose for what you have it.
I was just joking because you contributed to Ford thread with "SUV" Mazda.
Thanks and lol dunno who is Barney, but I think you're probably referring to the plush interior. It was made by the ex-owner, I probably wouldn't do that, but I have to say that I still like it. In pics it looks a bit pornoish but in nature it's quite nice. Like a poor man's fuzzed dash. (Dunno if it's the right term, but you know the way of treat the dash what is very popular with rally cars).
I've already said this before but I say it again, nice Capri you got there.
Well in a way I agree with the post your car topic being enough and I have posted my 3dr there already, but at the same time I can't stop myself feeling this urge of posting mine.
I basically love RWD euro-Fords (some FWD ones can be nice too) and I drive this 3dr Sierra. May I say unfortunately it's only a Cossie looker. It has a 2 liter Pinto with ported and lowered head, tighter cam etc. and the goddamn Ford EEC-IV, but I'm not yet satisfied with the power delivery it's giving me.
I have owned it for 5 years, I actually bought it maybe a bit too early, when I was 15, but I'm very keen on it.
I want that car! And BTW I wouldn't call that a boat. It's a bit soft for track usage and I would probably prefer it more stiff, but it seems to handle quite nicely and after all way more stiffer than average family saloon.
My friend also owns Logitech 5.1 speaker set. When he used to live with his parents he experienced similar. At low volume he heard some foreigner classical music radio station.
Car's don't usually produce much visible smoke. The smoke in the video looks like water.
"HC" racing cars etc. with very rich air-fuel ratio can produce noticeable black smoke under acceleration, but modern or modernish GTR cars doesn't seem to do that much.
Sometimes rally cars / high performance cars etc. start producing a bit of blue smoke under motor-braking, but that's just simply because it's been revved high for few races and the piston rings are starting to wear and thus burning oil.
As a Pinto owner I could give one more example, very often a good rally prepared Pinto can be seen making blue smoke (oil again) right after startup cause of worn / hardened valve guide rubber seals (or whatever in English).
But basicly I don't think these features are important in LFS, at least not yet.
Simply making a effect of every engine producing visible smoke would be just stupid.
And oh judging by the looks of current tire smoke I'm afraid the smoke wouldn't look that good.
