Quote from aoun :The interiors look too modern for the cars we have now, if they really are 10-15 years old.

I don't know I nicer way of saying this, but you are wrong.

These interior designs we have in LFS, are very typical looking for a car from early 90's to late 90's.

I don't remember from what car the XRG/XRT/XRR interior was almost a straight copy, but for what I can remember it was "old" car.

Quote from Zen321 :Well Idk if you are speaking about me, but I don't hate cruising, my goal is not to start a flame war or to put the shame on cruisers. I was just expressing my opinion, samforey12345 replied to it, and I feel that not answering to his post would be impolite .

I mean, the goal of life for me, is to do enjoyable and thrilling things, and to get better at them. Regarding this description, I don't seem to be able to see any field in where you can get better at cruising or improve "cruising skills".
If someone can explain how, I would be ready and willing to hear his point.

I wasn't really referring to you with the hate part, I just mentioned that it seems to get some hate over itself, like drifting does too.

If cruising in LFS would really mean what it says, cruising (driving within speed limits etc), I would definitely find it boring. What I've seen none there actually drives "nicely".

" It comes as a nice distraction as far as i am concerned. Something to do when you just want to chill but keep your hands busy ."

Very good explanation.

TBH I tried this cruising thing.
I'm a racer what does plenty of drifting too, but still. It isn't really the thing why I got LFS, but I have to confess that it was fun.
Dunno about the cruise part tho, I drive like a nutter there.

Cruising is a bit pointless, but it is one way to pass time and I don't see why it should be so hated that it seems to be.

This is horrible. I mean really. A real Caterham has a N/A inline-4, with twin carbs and a classic design with Minilite-wheels.

I hate changes.

Quote from The Very End :It's up as we speak, but with admin (me) online I would guess 22.00 norwegian time, I think that is 21.00 in your time hehe..

Oh yea, I just didn't find it first, because it seems to be empty now.:weeping:

Isn't Norway +1GMT? Finland is +2GMT, so for my understanding, it should be other way around. When in Norway clock is 22, in Finland it is 23.

-EDIT- Joined to the empty server, didn't even take a minute and a big flow of people were connecting too. Had some fun again.

What (GMT) time the server is going to be up tonight?

-EDIT- If the server is going to be up from 21:00 in Norway time (GMT +1), it is then 22:00 in here Finland (GMT +2), so it is a bit too late for me.

So the server isn't working now? I was thinking about joining.

-EDIT- Goddamn, this server wasn't working so tried some random racing server. Was full of wreckers so now I'm feeling very nervous.

Piston engines also need to be taken care of.

Rotary engines have a reputation of being o bit unreliable, maybe the even are a bit of it.

But I'm pretty sure that a rotary can also be a very reliable and problem free engine, like a piston engine can be too, if you know your stuff and take care of it.

Quote from S k i p p y :Yeah it's a known fact around here that you can bash Americans all you want. I'm getting sick of it. I've never once bashed anybody here until today. I've never once bashed another country here either. So get of my ass.

Well that's very interesting.
I wasn't bashing you, neither was he, he just said a little joke.

I wasn't searching an argue with this.

If OP is talking about mph, that is quite realistic. 160 km/h with final gear, it should rev that high.

Quote from S k i p p y :You're an idiot. American truckers are among the hardest working truckers around. Averaging 600 - 700 miles a day. The old school guys ignore the rules and run even harder. 800 miles and 16 - 18 hour days are not uncommon over here. Some of my livestock hauling buddies regularly run 2 or 3 days straight.

I don't think he was being so serious, so don't start the name-calling. It is idiotic.

You have point, the sp is crap. But it is still something to do when bored.

The point what makes this game good for me is that I'm able to do my own maps and them play them in LAN with my friends. This is again another FPS what is at it's best when not taken serious.
Best FPS moments for me are the LAN "partys" when we play and just have brainless fun.

Doing some more maps now...

Yes the only down side was the people spamming and constantly moaning about track & car. But I just ignored them most of the time.

For me the most fun was "racing" in oval, trying to avoid all the crashes and get to the goal.

Just tried this out, had some fun.

Even took couple of pole positions and at least one win, plus two fastest laps.

Now snow yet, but I'm afraid there is soon going to be.

I don't like winter. Friggin stud-tires. And cold.

The winter hasn't even started yet, and I'm still waiting next summer.

Quote from rc10racer :Surpised no one has tryed Dead Space yet, am playing this more then FarCry2.

Early impressions are very good, Stunningly well made EA game. Runs very smoothly for me on 2x 4850 Crossfire, no stuttering or slowdown at all @ 1920x1200 constant 60FPS. Game does not seem to support AA at all which is understandable as it uses a lot of smoke, debris & other post process FX to create a very strong atmosphere. Screenshots do not show you how good it looks as you have to see it all in motion to fully appreciate it as the way the shadows, lighting and debris combine is what gives the game a strong atmosphere along with some very strong sci-fi sound design and deep bass.

I just heard about this on telly. I was exited first, but then I noticed it wasn't first-person shooter. Also the FOV looks horribly low (of course this is FPS-wise, but I get a headache when the FOV is like that.)

Quote from sam93 :The last time I had a look at the price of fags in a shop, a pack of 10 (decent brand) was something like £3 odd and a pack of 20 over £5. Cant believe the price of 50g GV, nearly £10. Cheaper to buy it off people, or just do a baccy run.

No, a few bottles of Magners, that stuff is lovely. A lot better then Bulmers, which imo is horrible. Or I would get a bottle of Magners and a few cans of Carlsberg export.

Nah, vodka, cognac/brandy etc. FTW.

Quote from Kalev EST :I wouldn´t call anyone who spends £10 on smokes when he´s out a "hardly-smoker". I don´t know how much cigarettes cost in UK but around here you could get 5-10 packs depending on which one´s you go for. 20 cigs in a pack, 5 packs, 100 cigarettes. Nicotine poisoning ahoy. Actually if you think about it. Smoking a fag takes, lets say on average about 5 minutes. That´s 12 an hour. To go through a 100 you´d need to be smoking the whole day.

I see you're from Estonia, neighbor. I would imagine cigarettes being a lot more expensive on UK and in other countries too, than they're in EST.
We Finns like to take tours to your country to buy lots of cheap alcohol and cigarettes.

I don't smoke tho, but I have visited your country with ship and had lots of vodka with me when I got back.

If I could be on EST now, I would maybe spend the tenner to vodka or other spirits.
