Couldn't afford a full upgrade so today swapped out my E6600 for a Q9550, moved up to 8GB Crucial Ballistix and dual Samsung F3 1TBs in RAID 0. Just need to replace the graphics card some time in the next couple of months.

I feel tempted to get one too. I wonder if it's better then my huge ass Z600.
Quote from Bose321 :Finally someone with that H50. I'm wondering, does it cool good?

Yeah like arco said, it cools quite good. My ambient room temp is pretty warm (Florida lol) so I know that it could be doing better but It does a good job @ cooling as is.

arco, do you have yours setup as an Intake or Outake fan?
I have it as an intake. I have one intake fan in the front too, so the fan at the top acts like an exhaust. The top one is a 120mm fan, but I'm probably gonna swap it for a 140mm later. All fans set to lowest speed, and the CPU is between 25-30C degrees at idle. Ambient room temp around 20C I think. The graphics card is also quite cool, around 30C when idle.

Just finished building my first rig for 7 years!! (when I say finished I mean its working but needs improvement )

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 3.2Ghz @ 3.5 (no extra cooling needed so far)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-M720-US3
GPU: Saphire Ati Radeon HD 5770 1GB
Memory: 4x1gb corsair DDR2 1000
OS: Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
Hard drives: 2X30GB SSD Raid 1x500GB samsung 1x1.5TB samsung
Monitor: 19" widescreen cheap thing or the 50" plasma when the missus is out
Keyboard and mouse: Microsoft wireless crappy things
Case: Asus vento A8

Runs LFS at 300fps dropping to 175ish with a grid full of cars. Runs photoshop , solidworks and NX5 without breaking a sweat. Crysis runs with all the settings maxed out with no problems at all. All for just over £500. Bargain.

Won't post a photo till my G27 arrives as I am ashamed of the pos wheel I have atm.

Hello,

Great setup... I am trying to buy one just like yours... how many FPS with full grid?

Thanks,

youtube is better than a download.
AE86 @ Rfactor?
sorry, youtube never works very well for me, and i thought a download would be easier overall.....just save it to your deaktop, open it, delete it

Thanks,

It'll probably be pretty high FPS, my machine is almost the same, the only differences being the CPU and HDD, but it's still a quad core.
I get about 70FPS at the back of a full grid at maximum settings, no Dynamic LOD reduction etc.

On another note, I upgraded my PC to 4GB of RAM, it plays GTAIV much better I can get about 50FPS at full settings with no stuttering when it's 'streaming' things.
