Quote from danielroelofs :I don't think Webber was a bad driver. But I do think that those two cars weren't comparable. Besides it is fairly well known by now that Red Bull used quite some 'illegal' stuff on their car. Perhaps they were mostly or only used by vettel to avoid it being obvious when two cars drive around with exactly the same characteristics?

Jacques Villeneuve had an interesting opinion about they way Red Bull is treating Vettel now. He said Red Bull is trying to kill Vettel because he is not good for Red Bull's image. For the Dutchies: Red Bull killing Vettel.
Now i'm not trying to present this as a factual thing. But as I just graduated as a Marketing management specialist, and knowing/seeing how much red Bull leans on marketing, I regard this as possible.

Quite contradictive to my previous statement.. although I keep on saying.. Vettel is nothing special. It's a killer but.. If Hamilton, Alonso, Raikkonen, Hulkenberg would have been in a car with the same capabilities... I'm pretty sure Vettel would not even have a small chance to get 4th position in the championship. It has only been the car why he became champion. And Ricciardo is showing this in a lovely way

Not to say this theory is stupid(because it very much is) you got to think this from Vettels point of view, Vettel has had alot of reliabilty issues yes, but he has also been outperformed when there has been no issues as well.

Also if a driver was made to perform less then a team mate im prrtty sure they would be getting public about it as it would be clear they wouldn't want to stick around long.

There might be some truth if Vettel leaves next year and leaves in a hostile manner but i honestly can't seeing this happen.

I think its just unlucky reliabilty combined with being outperformed.
But there has to always be a sinister cover-up conspiracy reason for everything ever!
pff... first you are saying this (which?) theorie is stupid and somehow you think to have to knowledge to know it is (which?). And for the rest you are confirming everything I say or about the news articles I posten which aren't by definition my opinion.

I know, why you repeat what i said?

Vague answer.. You don't get the point and besides they dont have the intention to perform less with one driver. who said that? Are u an imported one in Australia from a non English speaking country or what? And besides that Red Bull has used illegal stuff are not theories anymore.. but I like you to do some research yourself. Maybe this was a useless answer but I really can't do much more with such a vague post.

There might be some truth but honestly you can not see it happen. wow Very clear! But thanks again for repeating what I stated through a news message.

Clearly end of discussion with you.

... and this is why I have trust issues with 'educated' people. Well anyone that has to pronounce they have just graduated in whatever course before making a statement.

Yes, RedBull are trying to sabotage their own driver for the benefit of their marketing project. Yes, let's make ourselves look like total dicks so we can look like not total dicks.
@ Intrepid, ? Evidence? Logical clear argument? Proper use of the English language too please.
I was being sarcastic! Read what i was replying too!!!!

Hey I just said it how it is, if a driver Is made to be worse then another driver they will clearly speak up(because your not smart enough to understand which point im talking about its the JV theory) and that's what you said and that's how I responded to your stupidity.

Don't play the intelligence game when your tin foil hat is showing.
Early weekend news roundup:

• Caterham sold to Swiss/Middle Eastern investors, headed by Christjan Albers(!)
• Haas F1 team to be Ferrari junior team?
• Pirelli to test 18" tires in next week's Silverstone test
Hamilton is slowly putting his title hopes into a trashbin.
After Q1 when both finns were out:
Kimi was rubbish again.

Those that didn't complete the lap...for god sake. Just finish the lap. Do it.

Happy for Vettel and Button.
Yeah, lots of bizarre reasons why cars did not go out or stopped their laps...
Vettel such a pussy.. having such a faster car... Yes Vettel.. that's what happens if you race against a true racing car driver. it's hard to pass one with qualities and not driving a digital car..

Great drive from Bottas!
I loved that fight. There are too many pussy gentleman drivers on the grid who just go wide and let the other pass... It was great to see some aggressive defense for once, well done Alo.

All those crybaby comments about track limits were ridiculous. Everyone went wide, cut, etc. Less moaning, more driving.
Still waiting when Raikkonen will do an amazing comeback and kick everyone arses, especially Alonsos.
Another race and another Vettel flogging, ricciardo has Vettel rattled.

Got to say im liking how good williams are doing lately, its gpod for f1 to.see them bounce back from some horrible seasons.
Quote from TexasLTU :Still waiting when Raikkonen will do an amazing comeback and kick everyone arses, especially Alonsos.

Not gonna happen, alonso is in a territory that kimi will never reach.

Vettel had a great battle with Alonso, though. Showed some good driving skills.
Great battle between Vettle and Alonso. Had Vettle not yielded to Alonso in that left right complex twice they both would have wound up in a heap rather than 5th and 6th. Disappointed in Alonso's driving with regard to that, but still a great battle. Vettle displayed great race craft in this battle.
It's not a tickling competition. It was a tough fight but at stages you get put in a position where you have to decide to back out or crash. That's what happened to Vettel.

The crying on the raqdio was quite amusing but it was just heat of the battle stuff which they were both laughing about afterwards.
Bottas made passing look easy today. Alonso and Vettel made it look difficult.

Great race all around.
The constant complaining about track limits was super annoying though. Imho the track is broken if you can drive off the track and be faster. If we start to see penalties because a driver goes 5 centimetres too wide for one times too many then that is just going to be stupid. Put some grass or kerbs that unsettle the car if you go too wide and solve these problems...

The alonso vettel battle was great but at times alonso was waving too much for my liking. Great job with bottas though.

Well said. Put solid concrete walls right next to the outside of the corner or something, make the fear factor come back into play as well again.

The tracks are hopeless and boring, thanks to mr Thilke. Too computer designed.

I think Alonso did a great job and was just on the edge and nowhere over it imo. Theoretically Vettel had never a reason to complain. I loved the skysports commentator for saying: Vettel stop moaning!
Both Alonso and Bottas showed how to overtake, not sure which race you have seen Rappa?! I also found it amazing that it seemed to me that the Red Bull is so much less affected by turbulent air. That car glued so much better to the road than the Ferrari unfortunately. Adrian go join the reds!

!

And your average joe racers go through plenty more parts too. Tracks have to survive. Being a car killer isn't the best for business. There's more to motorsport than F1.

I am not a fan of the latest FIA tracks (Tilke works with very restrictive regs) but that's just the nature of the game.
And Silverstone is a great example of a track that's been upgraded without being neutered, IMO. Some really tough corners and great flow. A real pleasure to drive and watch (as evidenced by how long Seb and Fernando were able to keep up their fight).
