The online racing simulator
Maybe that's how it is in real life on those tracks, and if the high speed ring was real
There is actually a pretty long trailer the God of War 3 disc. Can't wait to see it. Hopefully someone can leak it out before then.. big lack of any new info and concrete details

Quote :The GT5 trailer included on the God of War 3 disc is a brand new trailer.

I have a friend who got a review copy of the game and he says it's very impressive. I asked if it showed a Ferrari racing round a city at night getting smashed up (the secret TGS trailer) and he said it's not that, he also said that it's not the AGS trailer we saw either (showing Rome/Madrid/Tsukuba tracks and two cars racing a plane on the Top Gear track).

I'm quite excited to see it now since it appears to be completely new and made specially to show off to people that bought GOW3. So there you have it, brand new GT5 trailer on March 19th

Is it safe to assume theres STILL no official release date?
Quote from danowat :Is it safe to assume theres STILL no official release date?

Nothing has been said yet.

We have GDC next week and E3 coming up, so who knows
The full game better be bloody good!
the constant buffering reminds me of dialup.
For the trailer? It played it no problem for me, and i'm on a crappy 1mbit connection.

Wow even the screws are detailed...

HD quality vids from Nagoya expo - no sound though?

edit - 4th vid does

Nice, I see Mclaren F1, Enzo and a bunch of other exotics - quite a race line up
Seeing 3 abreast on the Nurb does not compute, and so 1 car eats the dust
Must be pro physics beacuse the guy in the GTR went too hot into the corner and spun out on the Nurb.
GT5 SLS AMG at Nurb video - with nice engine sounds- just remeber it's off TV
There is one part at around the 2:00 mark where he is behind the red AI car, and you can sense the rumbley sound from the car in front

Real life car at Laguna Seca to compare

More GT Academy Finals footage - with nice sound too!

Daniel Holland at Tokyo - don't know what car he was driving though
Note the AI didn't get blown away by one of the fastest drivers in GT. This guy was no.1 here in Australia in the Time Trail, and top 10 world wide I think.

Quote from bunder9999 :was that not from the car driving over the curb and driving on the bricks?

After he goes over the curbs the first time, you can hear a bit of the car in front, mid corner
Quote from CoolColJ :After he goes over the curbs the first time, you can hear a bit of the car in front, mid corner

around 2:15? it looks like it went off the road before it got passed.
before that, closer to 2:00, the 5 seconds or so before he goes over the curb where he is at 80kph or so
i guess i don't hear it then... because at 2:00 he jumps the curb (~95kmh), and does it again at 2:05 (~75kmh), and then again at 2:08 (~80kmh).
it's there but subtle, but I have Audio engineering ears
Direct capture video of GT5 trailer on the GOW3 disc - still processing so 720p option is not up yet - check back later

It looks like Nurb at dusk/night at 1:00?

Some driveby sounds from the high quality GameRyder 720p 60fps Nagoya expo vid - off screen, and off TV

It has been processed to make it more audible
The order on the video was - Corvette ZR1 (?), SLS, SLS, Gallardo, and then into GT-R for the driving

http://www.members.optushome.c ... T5%20driveby%20sounds.mp3

Although I dont think the Gallardo is heard there

No buzzy, cheap, game sounding doppler here, and they sound like V8s
This leads me to believe all those IS-F and FT-86 trailers don't have over dubbed sounds.
Looks more overcast than dusk, tbh.
whoopdie do, a track surface with textures on it... it doesn't mean it's showing the physical impurities of the track.
Quote from BlueFlame :whoopdie do, a track surface with textures on it... it doesn't mean it's showing the physical impurities of the track.

I was just talking about the visual effect, not the physical effect

I just noticed, the space in the centre of the Indy track is empty in this pic - in the Time trial they had cars parked, and tents and what not.
I hope this is dynamic then, along with the spectators, empty for time trials and practise, full when racing...
Also that series of turns after the back straight, before heading onto the oval section looks a lot different than I remeber in the time trial. It doesn't even look like an S here
This video - is definitely the same one described here, from Oct 2009
So it's pretty old. I think it's good that we see this one, so when a newer build video comes out, we can compare and be blown away again

Quote :After the lecture, the lights went to witness in all its splendor the trailer unpublished announced that no one outside those walls had seen so far. It was a moment of excitement because, obviously, everyone wanted to see the deformation and damage.
The video begins with a street circuit and with electronic music in the background. Then we can see the cars, especially new ones at its best going around the track, the GT style of life. We see cars NASCAR, rally, Lamborghinis and Bugattis. We see the pits in full and frenetic action. The images come from the replay mode. We run at night. The modeling is clearly at the level expected. And finally we see the first deformation and cracks on cars. There are a few shouts of excitement among those present. They are short but intense second accident. A lack of a better word, awesome.
We also see a Ferrari with a big city in the background. The camera rises to give a more global perspective. The video ends. The truth is that we are left wanting more. A little short, but intense. When just the trailer, the media present burst into applause greeting. Yamauchi, amid which he said are still working on the night mode to make it as realistic as possible. Not a word of deformations. "I'll ask after the interview, I thought to myself.
and
As for the new car, will have representation in vogue the hybrids. Also present will first legendary brands like Lamborghini and Bugatti. Until we have cars from NASCAR and World Rally. Speaking of NASCAR, Yamauchi noted that the deformation and damage in these high-speed races will be absolutely amazing and true to life, with turns, spins, roll, and so on. We will have to see to believe.
Then took a look at another set of game features that he says make Gran Turismo what is today a reference in the world of driving simulations. Arcade and story modes are the same as previous versions, but taken to the next generation. That is, new graphics, new physics, new details. In the shop there will be many parties to improve your cars. The creator was particularly proud of this facet of The Game. We commented that he can change almost every imaginable piece of the vehicle. Not just the typical sections of the engine, brakes, etc. ..
The online mode will have full support. The development team has focused a lot on this. There will be private rooms where you can connect with other players and tournaments closed set, for example. With regard to the shooting mode, Yamauchi told us that this feature, present from Gran Turismo 4 has been improved greatly. It can take pictures at any moment of the race, as well as specially prepared scenarios for this need. We were reminded that the improvement in the modeling (both circuit and car) will thus a delight for fans. On the technical side we said that the photos have a resolution of 8 megapixels.
