The online racing simulator
And in rFactor there is like a very big delay.
Quote from trebor901 :the only 2 games i can recall that have realistic wheel turn animation is LFS and Project Torque (even though Project Torque is awful)

Even iRacing doesnt have realistic turn angle animation

iracing doesnt have driver steering animation at all rfactor doesnt have any more of a steering delay for me than LFS.
Than it must be something wrong in my settings.

Help!
Quote from Chupacabras84 :If you mean the turn angle is to small I dont think its unrealistic. just in sport cars are small wheels and small angle to make turning easier, cars are more responsive thx to it.

Even sport cars have a rotation of usually at least two rounds from left to right.

A car would be horrid to drive with less. And yes I think it kinda sucks if they're not gonna make it adjustable at least, it kills the immersion.

Quote from G!NhO :And in rFactor there is like a very big delay.

Well that's your PC running too slowly then.
Well i have a fast pc so i dont think thats the problem.
Well, the only reason I can think of what produces steering lag is poor performance. But dunno why it does that with you then if it actually is fast.

Also rF doesn't require alien computer for good FPS so if you have a decent PC it should work. Maybe it's GPU drivers then? What FPS are you getting usually?
Quote from BigPeBe :Even sport cars have a rotation of usually at least two rounds from left to right.

Caterhams (like the LX6) are a less than two rounds lock to lock, with a go-kart like feel in the steering and driving response, but these weigh less than 1500 lbs.

Formula 1 and similar race cars have steering "yokes", not wheels:

Other than a few gaming rigs, and simulations designed to use them, the force feedback in the steering from games isn't realistic, so less sensitive steering is normally used.
Quote from JeffR :Yes but the physics is clearly different as the cars aren't pulling 5 g's in the turns the way the do in ProStreet.

Make it 50G and we're talking. Remember a video I saw of a car taking a haripin turn in 350kmh

Either way, this game looks promissing, I'll give it a try. If they just manage to make a FUN driving experience I don't care if it's unrealistic. The fun factor of the driving is what counts.
Actually some of my fav games is "Gran turismo""IL2 sturmovik 1946" "Red Orchestra" "insurgency mod" "Team fortress 2" from orange box "MS Flight sim" when I start playing this game i have more time than I have now so i was able to catch up with better players fast and I become decent player.
In this games to become decent player you have to practice a lot.
Now when i start playing LFS I usually end up on the end of the stake, 7 seconds behind all players, (not counting players who end race due to crash) unless some other noobs is on servers so i racing them.
Since I don't have enough time to practice LFS i have rather low chances to win a race or at least race on equal term, till now i didn't even race all tracks in game.
So in this case NFS is much better cuz i can just start the game and play without spending time on learning how to drive, layout of the track and stuff and i don't have feeling that i race myself because all players are far ahead.
So for ppl who doesn't have much time to play NFS is rather a good game and as TVE said fun factor counts cuz if game is fun nothing else matters.
And if its easy to start fun to play its rather a good thing.

Yep I know there might be some exceptions, that's why I typed the word "usually" in there.

I have to admit that I kinda didn't get what you meant with the F1 and unrealistic force feedback talk?

Maybe you meant that NFS isn't probably gonna feature realistic ffb and it's gonna be designed for less steering rotation and for not so realistic gaming rigs?
Tho I still dunno why you mentioned the F1.

Still I would hope that NFS Shift is gonna feature a realistic ffb, adjustable steering lock and wheel rotation because if not it's kinda going to kill the immersion and playability with G25 and similar wheels. After all they have mentioned sim like physics already...

And oh I'm not trying to make your post look false, I'm just a bit confused.
A bit more footage leaked/released, expect lots more hype before its released!!!

Looks a bit like rFactor to me in that video, oh yeah, and the driver sucks BIG TIME.
Since when do porsche's have 90degrees turning? And it looks like ProStreet with some fancy sparks and cockpit view.

Those are the cars Ive been waiting for.
This game is gonna save the NFS name and possibly knock Simbin out the way.
Looking at that, makes me wanna smash my head on my desk.
The steering degree sucks. Pushing people of road, looks crap. Spinning out control looks crap. And you see this guy lose traction at the rear, and he countersteers 5 seconds later, and he just drove on. Makes me wanna pass this game actually.
im gettin bored with Nordschleife being in every single racing game that comes out these days.
Quote from trebor901 :im gettin bored with Nordschleife being in every single racing game that comes out these days.

Because it's such a legendary track.
But the only descent race that ever happens on it these days is the Nordschleife 24 hours
But I don't think that's the point... it's because it's such a "legendary" track... so much history and generally a petrolhead haven.
