I am the same, I will never rent a game that I intend to play for a long time.....but some people do.
It is kind of like the lootbox model, some will pay to gamble etc. and due to recent events lootboxes are now very different...major developers learn the error of their ways eventually.

Yes Gav, I am also looking forward to it....keeping an open mind. I am sure all the nay sayers will not even watch it but will have a host of negative comments within minutes.
The way I now see the whole debacle is that we have all gained an extra car series on the telly box....if you liked the previous TG team they still do the same stuff, just they are on another channel under a different name....TG has changed, will it rock from the start or a fail...no one knows...could even be a series that becomes compelling...open mind.

I will never have a regular use for a pick up....I live in and around rural areas where people use rubbish like the Mitsubishi L200...but if I need to move stuff then I borrow/hire a van....simples.

Personally the main reason I stopped playing was due to the limited tracks....when we could create different routes with the open layouts it gave me a bit more interest....but that was of course limited because basically I had been around " that" corner many times before.
I never wanted more/different cars as I felt it was a pretty good selection....and there was always the tweak thing ( that I never used,) if you wanted to change how a car performs.

I look at the game now and try to imagine starting as a total new guy....say FBM at BL1...sure my interest will wane after X laps...( never did like FBM or BL1 come to think of it), the point is that new tracks will create both interest and competition.

Wenom- think you need both Forza6 and FO4...I have FO4 and was notified that I had unlocked Forza content...but I do not have Forza 6...did see some Youtube video of the FO car running down the Mulsanne straight...funny.

A guy I know builds replica AC Cobra's for a living, now I do love a Cobra done right....but he drives a Ford F150( running with a gas conversion...natural gas...because it runs normally on petrol...), this thing is massive, in fact it is about the same size as a Mercedes Sprinter...I know which I would choose for "haulin stuff".

As with any game where you can choose which server/host to join then you will always find that it can be a bit hit and miss at the start.

The press do seem to be looking for anything to knock Chris Evans and the new TG...it is a bit tiresome. Sure it was a bit daft to bait them with donuts in the vacinity of the Cenotaph but it was approved by someone from the council....not as if TG just turned up on a Saturday unannouced and started burng rubber.

Not too long to wait for the new TG now....just a few months....looking forward to it.

No surprise the Beeb moved F1 on though....they have a huge bill for a mountain of rubbish and over paid staff...( I will not witter on about the license fee I have to pay but there is nothing I watch on the BBC )

Well yeah xD I joined various hosts for different builds but I have been around Blackwood heaps! I guess the laps count in terms of actual races, most hosts are just 'practise' or time lap based servers.

When playing online it is not only race laps recorded.
Looking at your stats and your join date of around 11 months ago then I would say you have hardly played the game.
When I was playing I would have done similar distance/laps in a day or two......but if you are having fun then who cares...

There are many people on this forum that have played LFS pretty hardcore....both demo and S1/2....click the forum name then click online stats to see...
