I can understand your reasoning but (as already pointed out) the AI really are terrible and learning to pass a car that is over a second a lap slower than you will actually teach you very little.
Yes you can adjust the level of the AI on LFS but they will always be blind and the top level is slower than anything that will help you learn anything.
Go online and race against real people..they may also share sets and help you learn also.
If you type !top when you join the server then it will show the top times of the default car (found in tcd.txt DefaultCar= ), if however you have joined the track then typing !top will show the top times for the car in which you have joined. The tcd.txt has the XFG set as the default car..unless you change it.
Yes, Quinn is a nice guy and a good teacher. Stick with it and you will soon be doing 1.33s.
The XRG is a great car once you get the hang of it but it is very difficult at the start....ask Quinn, I am sure he will tell you how he loves it.
The server is on a combo you have done? I noticed you have only XFG/XRG/FBM at BL1 and RB4/FXO at FE2, so obviously if the server is set to say BL1 then you must be in a car you have set a pb with.
Does !prs work?
I believe he is suggesting that people that have no connection with 500servers are entering this thread and giving their own opinion.
Admittedly Dean is obviously having some issues but this is also a service that people have invested in and therefore require a certain amount of customer service.
The FPRS server is not associated with this thread. You need to speak with DCke about the FPRS server.
The ban you recieved is only a vote ban so will only last a short time.
Always save a replay and then send the server admin the replay. Pressing control/shift together shows usernames so you know who is who.
You are right these type of people just create other usernames when banned, so the best thing is to leave the server when these types join. I have never been on the server you mention but there are many other popular demo servers that regularly have admin in attendance.
While in game press shift and c this will recalibrate, turn wheel lock to lock. Wheel is recalibated, press shift o, choose controls, click axes/ff check lock on right hand side.
There is most definately no risk when using WD40 to clean the pedal pots. Never have I experienced WD40 weakening plastic. I have cleaned my pedal pots 3 times using WD40, takes about 20 minutes..including vacuuming the dust and fluff.
Use the correct tools and be careful with the wires when pulling the case apart and putting it back together are the only major points. The wires fit into little prongs in the upper casing and take care to get them located before pushing the upper and lower parts together.
