Quote from Rhama :but I find that hacker funny, guess why.

Is it because you are immature...is it because you like to ruin other peoples enjoyment..is it because you feel as if the world owes you something?
I could guess for hours but it would be far easier if you just told us?

Console players sak maj es

Wut?
Shame you do not play console, I would enjoy giving you a nice little cuddle...with my knife
Anyways, on Xbox-Anthoop and PS3-JohnStitch.
I have not played BF3 much for a while, had a go last night on Coop in the hope that the dogtags would finally unlock...fail...the development of this game is not good (to say the least) but it is still great fun.

(Qed....did you get that Airio thing sorted out?)

Quote from tristancliffe :Rolling resistance is more do to with how the tyre deforms as it rolls. Grip is mostly how it deforms laterally or how it 'twists up'. The two are linked but not the same.

The question was aimed at Omar....and was to stir his thought process rather than looking for an answer.

Quote from Omar1 :. As slicks have more grip but the lack of tread might decrease resistance. I might do a few tests and a graph, not sure.

How would you have more "grip" yet less "resistance"? Surely if the tyre is "gripping" the surface better then it will have more "resistance"?...

Quote from cargame.nl :Then you can't, hoster needs to deal with it. And router/modem is not really a problem at a datacenter, it's LFS.exe itself causing problems.

Ah I see, thanks.

After looking at the LFS racers database, I guess he has two accounts...did he pay for two accounts just for this or did he get free accounts?

How do we deal with it if our server is hosted by say 500Servers?

Mmm that is interesting, about a month or so ago we had this same guy do much the same thing on our server...a quote from our forum :-

Quote :This guy HeCosmin
I kicked him becourse he had no respect for others....
He came back typed ip and shut down and server went down???
Can someone look into this and restart server S2?
What an a**e that guy

I had a good look at the server log at the time but saw nothing unusual and so presumed it was a coincidence as our server host had been playing up.

Hopefully the devs can at least ban the account?!

Try deleting the profiler and then check the rotation (using windows) before reinstalling.

Quote from MattsterGT :Another sidenote that my Dad (chemist) has just added-in his words 'You really want switch cleaner due to the fact that WD40 leaves oily residue which attracts dirt (buggering up the pot in my experience) and releasing some damn volatile stuff into the atmosphere'

I am not a chemist but I will hazard a guess that switch cleaner will be "releasing some damn volatile stuff into the atmosphere" and probably more than WD40.
If your fathers concern is that WD40 will cause premature wear in the potentiometer, then I can reply that (in my experience) this is not the case.
If you have neither product to hand then switch cleaner is primarily designed for cleaning electical contacts, so therefore would be the ideal purchase.

I tried to join yesterday but it said the room number (before the edit) was not available, I guess I was trying to join when the server was closed down . Could you put the room name also next time please?

Quote from troy :So, there must be some more LFS'ers still interested in playing GT5 every now and then, what about some biweekly get together maybe on Wednesdays? Do some shuffle racing or whatever, I should have enough bandwidth for a full Server if needed.

I would be interested in having a few races. I use pad but will have a go at any car/tyre types.

The potentiometers can be opened but they are not designed to be...and there really is no point to open them.
They can be simply flushed clean with either WD40 or a switch cleaner, you will be able to see the wiper and board (pictured above) fairly clearly through a gap in the outer pot cover.
As said, eventually the track on the board wears out but so far (for me), a simple blast with the WD40 fixes it untill the next time.

The double points does not work on coop. You can just repeat whichever mission to accumalate the required points though.

Does this only happen in LFS?
Did you remove the black cover from the back of the motor?

If you remove the cover then you will see a little circuit board that is screwed to a bracket (that is screwed to the motor), ensure all four screws are tight.
Also on the motor shaft is a slotted plastic ring, this should be firmly attached to the shaft (sometimes they become loose/crack).

Pictures can be seen in the firsst post here:-
