DFP for LFS and GT5 Pro.

Don't need a G25, happy with the DFP .

Was thinking of getting a Quad Core and extra graphics card for Christmas, but that really depends on the performance of the new COD game coming out 2 months from now.

I'm confused.

2x 8800GTS's on a Crossfire mobo? In SLi? Using a Crossfire bridge?

How does that work exactly?

just bougth some upgrades:
Another 500GB Sata hdd
ATI Radeon HD4850 GFX card
1 120mm casefan
Now have 2x 2GB of RAM + 2x 1GB of RAM so 6GB all-in.

Whoa, bloody hell. What motherboard you use?
An Asus P5K-E, but all decent 775 mobo's will have 4 RAM slots and support over 8GB of RAM.

Better point is that 2x 2GB DDR800 OCZ Reapers cost me £30 from work
Quote from Gabkicks :w/ my 4850 and e8400 and 4 gigs of ram, i get 66fps (93fps when paused) 1280x1024 4xAA 16xAF.
This is from the back of the grid w/ 20 AI on SO Chicane. I had some programs running in the background, but I just wanted to see.

Strange, are you using the newest video drivers? At the back of the Grid, with 20AI, at 1680x1050, 8xAA, 16xAF, I get 48.9FPS. My rig at the time was Athlon64 X2 6400+ 3.2Ghz X2 2MB L2, 3GB 667Mhz Dual Channel, 8600GTOC rivatuned to 600/800/1293. Don't seem right. I haven't tested my new setup(New GPU PNY 9600GTOC 512MB - before they stopped making them in OC- and OC'd my CPU to 3.5, it's the black edition.

Whatever you had in the background must have really been killing your FPS.

Dude what kind of stress test is that? Sit at the back of a grid with 20AI with full AA and AF, and your resolution is kinda low, so I don't really think your results are impressive at all. I had a Athlon 6400+ OC'd to 3.5 and PNY GeForce 8600GT Rivatuned around 10%, how in the world can you get double the performance of my machine, maybe because of your low resolution, but I bet your using 2xAA.
