Dead Man's Shoes is on channel 4 at 11.40 tonight. Watch it. Low budget British film making at it's best, and one of the best performances by a British actor (Paddy Considine) I've seen in many years.

Not easy watching at times, but by far my fave British film of the decade.
I watched Redline on TV today, and all I can say is it had worse looking effects than the original War of the Worlds film. Not to mention everything about the cars was completely overdone (No Lambo is going to flip over because of t3h NOZ) and the storyline simply sucked.

Probably the worst movie I have ever seen that was related to cars.
Trust me there are worse movies than Redline.

Even as "car porn" it sucked big hairy balls, though.
Two of the worst films I have ever seen are...

Epic Movie and Deathproof

...those films are so bad that they are not even bad enough to be the kind of bad film you enjoy watching because of how hilariously bad they are.
I thought Deathproof was great.
It wasn't great IMO, but a good movie.
It was dull, boring, and left me wondering why the hell I am bothering to watch this pile of crap when I could be cutting off my testicles with a blunt pair of scissors. Luckily before I did that a quite decent car chase scene happened, then those hot chicks killed the wierd guy, which managed to stop me from mutilating my genitles out of bordem, but did little else.
A+ for a detailed review.

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :the kind of bad film you enjoy watching because of how hilariously bad they are.

That's exactly what it was, but usually those films are not meant to be "so bad they're good." They suck, and it makes them funny. Doing this on purpose as a director is much harder than making a sh*tty film that some kids in college find funny 10 years later.

Kurt Russell playing virtually the same character in "Escape from LA" is a perfect example. It was an action movie in the 90s. Now it's a comedy.
Sitting through Deathproof (Which, btw, I did enjoy!) is worth it to watch teh epic "BAD movie that is so bad it's f***ing brilliant!" which is Planet Terror!
Deathproof is A+.
Deathproof is a brilliant film, and Planet terror is bloody awesome.

I keep meaning to see dead mans shoes, but never get round to it.

I saw Street Kings recently, and was actually suprised how good it was, I wasnt expecting much, but it was actually very good.

Got to agree on that one, specially Planet Terror is damn good. Well, not might good, as in good movie good meaning, more like it sure as hell will be found entertaining and funny to watch.

I wanted to see that initially when I saw that Forest Whitaker was playing, but then I noticed there's Reeves in it and I'm not sure I can go through another session of watching an actor with a single micromodulated facial expression (which usually revolves around the "woah... maaan" expression).

Yeah, he's not great, but it's a good story, with a bit of a twist in the tail, it's well worth a watch.
I watched Finding Neverland the other night - not a brand new film, but it is pretty damn awesome. Depp is awesome as always, and Winslet's performance was good too.

Definitely a 'tears in your eyes' film (if you are man enough to admit to such things).
poof

But yeah, it's a pretty decent film, about a pretty strange man.
Hidden Fortress (Kakushi-toride no san-akunin) was a great one.

Which is easily improved by turning it off right after the Stuntman's hospital scene
Nono.. The last chase in deathproof was nice too, how them girls owned him.. and he turned into a scared psycho...
Tropic Thunder was epic, recommend a watch
Just watched "Postal" by Uwe Boll...dont usually like his films, but this one is different...He doesn't try to be serious, so the result is similar to Planet Terror (although far from as good!)
If you have played the game (Postal 2) then you know what to expect
I better warn people of a sensitive nature, this film is as far removed from "Political Correctness" as it is possible to get.. EVERYBODY gets the pi$$ taken in this film..

Funny as fsck....if you decide to watch it, my favourite part involved a cat...but not going into details for fear of being branded a SPOILER!
lol, is that in the cinemas or already dvd, really interested in watching it (played postal² a bit)
Just saw "The life before her eyes"....

WOW, it's been a long time since I got to the end of a film and thought wow, blew me away, stunningly shot piece, and a very interesting story, well worth a watch.

Not everyone will "get it", but those that do, I am sure will be blown away.

Recommend a film you've seen lately.
