The online racing simulator
Quote from Ingolf :I think AC and LFS should get together and have a baby.

LFS+iR+rF+GT6+Forza6+B3T+TrackMania+all other cool racing games mixed up together like having some fun.

Then we just would have only one track, which would contain all tracks and that with 480hr endurance race with 1 billion dollars. Then uninstall game and delete source.
The extra Japanese DLC is a steal at £3.99. Loving the Toyota AE86
I love them all, very different between them. I hope more jap cars are eventually coming.
They are not insane, they know there is other forums who can replace easily their official place for modding purposes.

I think they are cleaning a bit the forum so they will gain more free time when the consoles crowd invade the forum with their issues/wish listes.

The sim is still modable, so who cares about which place you can showcase or download your mod.
A lot of the mods on the AC forums are on racedepartment so i wouldn't worry too much. The only problem is that I won't be able to keep up with W.I.Ps that were on the AC forums as i don't know where to find them.
Quote from ACCAkut :In case you missed it, Kunos just killed ~90% of their Modding forums

edit: new page, what a coincidence

What I understand of what they did, is that they didn't prohibited anyone from modding, they just removed the "showroom" of mods from the forum, so they don't have any legal problem with ripped content on mods

You can still make mods and post them anywhere but the official forum

The modding subforum will still have "how to" topics
I saw that right after i had made my post.... silly me Face -> palm
yeah, but currently it seems like half of all projects will die once their threads are gone. I've gotten 3 PMs already from guys I've been doing beta testing with telling me they are taking a step back from AC altogether. Sure many will at some point restart whatever they were doing, but the damage is done.
Yea we don't need such half baked eternal WIP projects anymore.

If they gave up on AC modding with such meaningless justification, that mean their motivation are not enough to even half finish their actual projects, better for them to return to a showcase website like devian-art so they can have their daily dose of "great work" "thanks" etc....
^^Well, the AC modding section connected the modders to the racers in a very pleasant way. Feedback for modders to see in an AC atmosphere. The forum design offers a nice interface with easy tools for communication. A gathering place. Time allowing, a new AC focus point will emerge, probably on the internet! Smile

That's exactly what I read into the announcement... I rather have them focus on developing AC further than deal with the legal issues that will inevitably arise from some unlicensed rip. I don't see why this is such a big deal, and this

is just throwing a tantrum. Is is really so hard to move over to racedepartment, where most mods end up anyway?
It's not. And the AC forums still allow for elaborate PM convos with a dozen people at once if needed.

Guess people that emotional never been through real hardships in there life, oh well. But who am I to judge.
Never seen such childish overreaction from some moders (dauntless...), moding its all about personalise the sim experience and integrating the car you like to drive if you have the capability, it's not like Kunos owe them money for opening their game to them, I don't really get about this shitstorm at all.

In conclusion, a huge part of moders was doing this to showcase their 3d skills only for their ego or profit/job hunting, the fun factor are on the minority side imo.

Juste looking at the AC forum thread, the majority of excessive reaction ans whining are from the eternal WIP specialists...
I don't care anymore. I was week away from releasing the lx8. I'm moving to rf2. The way I see it kunos pulled the trigger. I'm just dragging the body elsewhere (rf2). See you on the dark side Smile.
Kunos didn't pull the trigger. In fact most mod a makers a being idiots imo. Just because one website stopped doing this one thing doesn't mean another can't do it... In fact Racdepartment has a higher amount of mods so the AC forum wasn't even the best place to get mods.
Stefano made it as clear as he is possibly allowed to do that fear of prosecution by Italian law (forum hosted in Italy, by an Italian company, with specific Italian prerequisite that would make Kunos liable for anything posted on their forum).

The abruptness of what happened could mean some lawyers were already knocking on their door.

Just let him be, Rf2 are in need of some ego showcase (wip) specialists, AC modding community has enough motivated guy who cares about doing their best in modding and not only waiting all the day for every little opening to troll Kunos decisions.

Again it's not like kunos are making profit with your mods Hyperactive, AC moding capability is just a tool to expend game contents, nothing more nothing less, it's truly digusting to see you taking opportunity with this situation to say ( am going to RF2 **** you all ) you are supposed to be an adult right ?
can you guys recommend most quality website with most quality mods for AC apart from racedepartment?

is there something not chaotic good looking web having only the mods of better quality?

Thanks.
Drivingitalia.net maybe ?
Ok, now we know the reason for last week's havoc:
