received mail , i cant login to billing system t send mail

a simple question

The backup for this machine was on the Control Panel machine. And the most recent backup for the control panel, was on this machine. This means that ALL DATA on this machine has been lost.

that means we lost all files from months racing ? pb files points ranks ??

DCke
Unfortunately i have been left no choice, I can no longer take the abuse that i get in this thread. People are much more to the point and actually tend to write with respect in their support tickets.

In terms of not answering support tickets.. If the issue has been solved. i do not reply to them, If you have an issue that is affecting only you, you will find that it is replied to.

If more respect is shown in this thread, then i will be happy to continue to offer information and support. but if its just to Bash myself or 500Servers, then im not going to listen.
It is difficult to raise a ticket if the Control Panel is down.
It would seem pointless to raise a ticket if previous (pending) tickets are still not answered.

Unfortunately that is the case officially. Although if the files can be recovered using recovery software (no guarantee of this have used this method 4 times before, only been successful once) before the servers are back up, i will make sure its available.

By all means, use the thread, I have no problem with that, the problem is "HOW" the thread is used. If people treat the thread as if they are writing a support ticket, then i have no problem. But if its just a bashing message (check the last 2 pages for examples) then i do not see why i should put up with it.

There is also a support ticket system on the billing system which can be used (http://www.500servers.com/billing). If you do not know your billing system login / pass, there is a "forgotten password" link that can be used. (note the username is your e-mail address).
about effing time franky. people tend to think that just because they have paid for something they can spout what ever tripe they want. completely forgetting to be human to each other.
way to go guys, you've actually reduced the amount of contact options for your server supplier. great job.
@ Dean, so our options are PM email and support ticket now? The thread was getting rutheless anyhow sorry if any of my posts contributed but I try to keep my rage at a reasonable level.
just to clear things up, I am happy to help people via this thread, But only if people can keep their abusive remarks to their selves. From now on anybody that does decide this thread / forum is a place to throw abusive remarks will find that their posts are ignored and / or moderated (as per LFS Forum policies). Customers will also be bound by the 500servers terms of service. Specifically section 4 of the 500servers terms of service. (you are of course free to give your reviews both good and bad. but in a civil manner)
hi franky
i might have missed it in the sea of rants in this thread is CP down for all or is it for a select few also the ftp access seems to be down too , i dont mind this as we are stuck on westhill my favorite track thx in advance for information or reply
Hi Dean ,

I readed your mail from 28/03 and i do understand every thing u explain , i know u need some time to fix things but i still have a question .

u wroted :

We will now re-install the Control panel onto a new machine hosted by a 3rd party server provider. this will take betweein 24 - 48 hours to complete.
Once the Control panel has been fully reinstalled, and your user-account(s) added. We will re-store all services that were on the ip 81.19.209.205 to the control panel (note your ip will have changed to: 84.45.52.141). All data for these uses will be intact and ready to go. We will then reinstall servers for all users who were on the ip: 81.19.209.208 (Note: your ip will change to: 84.45.52.144, your server ports may also have changed). Unfortunately due to the issue explained in section 3 NO DATA will be available and you will need to setup your server(s) as fresh.

My question is ok i see the CP must be ready or almost ready 24-48 hours but how long will take the re-store of all services and the reinstall servers ? So when will we be able to use our server(s) and CP again ?

Regards Jeffry

Just trying to help you - You can still change the track by using Admin text starting with the / key. You can do everything else too.

Live for Speed command line options and text commands
=====================================================

Command line options :
----------------------
LFS can be started using a command line or another program.
A dedicated host mode is available with no hardware draw : "nogfx".
Before selecting host options, you may find it helpful to run LFS
and try out the options on the Start New Game screen - the required
upload bandwidth for those options is displayed on screen.
A command line or a command file is required for dedicated hosts.
NOTE - alternative way to use the command line options :
A command file xxx.txt can be used instead of a long command line.
The command file contains the command line parameters.
The parameters can be spread onto several lines.
The command file can contain comments, starting with two slashes //
Then the command line would be simply :
LFS /cfg=xxx.txt (where xxx.txt is the name of the config file)
/host=Host Name :FIRST IN LIST
/pass=Pass :if required - password
/admin=Pass :if required - admin password

Create a text file named "X.txt" in your LFS folder.
List all the tracks and configurations you want to allow.
Type one configuration on each line.
You must use the short name of the tracks :
[first two letters of name] [config number] [reversed]

BL1
BL1R
BL2
BL2R
FE1
FE1R
Use the command /tracks=X.txt in your startup command line
