Looks like someone is really happy with analyzing the situation from a legal point of view.
In fact legally they owe us nothing,and you guys are right saying we don't have ti expect anything.
But,since this is more than a commercial game made to build an infinite stack of euros and was characterised by the constant developers reports(demonstrating an interest for what the users want to see and play),i think some of us are right saying that,from a friendly point of view,someone did either lie or not tell the real truth.
I prefectly understand that devs have a life and bla bla bla but a community can't live on promises written on a page and never finished(so far).
I can't take them to the court,that's for sure,but i don't have the best opinion about them either.

I'm really getting tired of the whole arguing about the devs owing us something or nothing, or this and that being promised or not.

The devs never promised more content, and you paid for what you got. The rest is, indeed, extra. Stop arguing about that.

Now, that said, it's not a reason to work this slow, and release so few updates about what's going on.

Oh, and a nice point was brought up about the fact that if a website hasn't been updated in a while, people who arrive on it for the first time will sometimes move on without further thought (I probably would).

All i,m saying is people will see a public announcement as a promise no matter how its worded and if you cant understand that you have your head in the sand.

Person A says this will happen some day , Person B is not wrong in asking when that day might be . Its that simple, yes person A has made no guarantees what so ever but the fact remains person B will ask from time to time whats happening.

I,m not asking for anything i just feel its unfair to have a go at the people who do , no matter how many times the same thing has been asked for.

Yes, probably this is the FIRST thing I look for on new a website to see wether it is up-to-date or not...
And if it's not, then I tend to forget about it...

There's always going to be extreme PoV that defies common sense, logic and evidence.

Sadly in last few years, the general community consensus has swung to a negative view. This thread (past included) and the website disgrace, enforces the dire state of LFS and the communities displease with the devs.

While the devs aren't obligated to provide any update. They should treat the community with a bit more respect and stop dangling the carrot.

The days of giving vague, open ended answers have gone. The time has come to provide some straight answers on LFS's future. Be it good or bad news, they owe the community that much.

I agree that it's time the Devs updated the community, but keep some perspective.

Beg all you want, it won't have any effect. Scawen has said himself that he has unsubscribed from this thread. I believe that the rest of the team did so as well and I'm considering doing the same. This thread is in it's approx. 20th iteration and leads absolutely nowhere. Enjoy!
