Click here to watch it FULL HD on youtube!

I recorded it this morning. I always thought this kind of time lapse video is very cool, so I decided I would try making one myself. And what you see in the above video is the result of me trying to make a time lapse video with all camera settings on automatic. (fail)

Note to self: next time I (if ever again) make a video like that, use fixed focus, fixed ISO and fixed color tone. Also, have some more patience and let the phone record for a bit longer instead of taking it from my window as soon as I woke up to see the results.

Technical Specifications
Original video file
2592x1944p @ 15FPS (1771,4Mbps) (8,12 GB)
Compressed video with audio replaced by music on Sony Vegas 9
1920x1080p @ 15FPS (10Mbps) (50MB)

Everything was recorded on Nokia N95-3, and the final video is unedited. I got all files straight from the phone, fast forwarded it on VirtualDUB and compressed and added music on Sony Vegas 9.

I would be lying if I said I'm happy with the results lol but this is what happens when you decide to lazily and impatiently record a time lapse video. It didn't take me any effort to make that video.

So, now that I've showed you this video, I'm very curious about you: have you ever made a time lapse video? If so, please post it here! Let's share experiences on how to make one, which cameras and equipment do you use and how do you record the video, the coolest ones you've seen, or anything related.

Quote from zeugnimod :The Brazilian is back!!!

Yeah, it's that time of the year again. :munching_
I can see a pattern from his posts in the forum and I guess this is what he does in his vacations. But don't worry, he'll probably be gone in a month.

Quote from brandons48 :My first words as soon as I saw Tanner's feet come out the elevator

This will be... just.. Incredible.

I've always loved Driver... I had Driver 1 when I was like... 4 or 5. I've played them all. Parrallel Lines was the best so far IMO.

Same thing for me, I totally agree with everything you said apart from the best Driver part, which in my opinion was Driver 3. I even still have it installed on my computer. By the way, the first Driver still works even on the modern pc's.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this!

I don't understand what you mean, but by what I could figure out by your post you said you have bloom ON on your settings but disable it on the game (default shortcut SHIFT + F9). After that, if you change antialiasing settings, the bloom goes back on.

If that's what you meant, the reason for the bloom coming back on is that the game reinitializes its graphics when you change antialiasing, and so ENBSeries has to load the settings file again (which in this case has bloom ON), so bloom just goes on again. To stop this from happening just disable bloom on the settings.

Quote from matijapkc :Velociround, nice speakers you got there... Which are they?
Also, nice one Chrisuu, like the skull in the eye.

Thanks. They're multilaser 45w RMS 2.1 speakers. I'll try to find the specific model when I get home. IMO it's just perfect for a computer: it's relatively cheap and sound quality is great. I just love the bass! (specially if compared to other pc speakers I've seen here in Brazil).
It doesn't have a remote control, tough, but I don't mind that.

I don't have this problem on LFS, but I have on Just Cause 2 and some other games (DiRT 2 too).

It is very random. Some games work wonderfully whereas others just don't take printscreen (I get a black screen).

Now that I've fixed my PC, I decided to make my working environment a bit more comfortable and clean...

Fortunately my PC problem was the PSU which had some problems and wasn't providing enough power to all components so that they could function... this caused some of the HDDs to randomly malfunction, corrupt some data (I didn't go too much into it to know what exactly has corrupted but I had to reinstall some programs) and the graphics card drivers to give BSOD every time I turned the PC on. So, I have just bought a new PSU today and changed it myself. Everything seems to be working, and I can finally get into some things I couldn't finish before...

Quote from hazaky :Tryed that for fun ... it took me to offline punkbuster manual (stored on my PC). Lol

lol
Typing "adm" is enough to get to the Administrative Tools here. ("ad" goes to adobe reader).
Same as "CC" for CCleaner, "o" for Opera, "s" for steam, "ho" for hotmail, ... I type just enough so that the program I want appears there. It's quicker than going step by step until you find it.

Click on the start button on the taskbar, type "admin" and press enter. The Administrative Tools should pop up. (Control Panel\System and Security\Administrative Tools)
Double click on Computer Management, choose Storage > Disk Management. Right click any HDD, choose "Change Drive letter and Paths", and choose your preferred one.

Each HDD must have its own letter, so if another one has already taken the G: letter, just go to it, change its letter and then put G: as your external HDD drive letter.

Quote from Jertje :A PC with 128mb of ram isn't compatible with the modern world anymore.

That's half the amount of RAM cellphones have nowadays (Nokia N8 256MB, iPhone 3Gs 256MB), and just the same amount they used to have since like 2007 (N95 128MB, N97 128MB, iPhone 3G and 2G 128MB, etc).

It's pretty impressive how technology evolves fast.

I'm sorry the installers are taking longer than they were supposed to, and much longer than the previous ones took me to do. I've had some personal problems in the previous week (which I have fortunately managed to solve partially), but now that I've solved them and can work on the installers, a storm has shut down my computer and it seems to have stopped working (windows says the d: drive is corrupted and the pc won't boot up. I'm trying to fix this asap, because the files are there and if I don't manage to fix it I'll have to download the files and make the installers again).
I'm browsing the lfs forum through my phone.
If I manage to fix the pc I'll probably finish the installers today. If not, they'll be finished by today's evening (provided I find another hd to boot up, which I guess may be lying around here somewhere).

I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

PC EDIT (17:33 GMT-3): I've managed to turn on the PC. I'm running disk checks to see if I can recover some files.
PC EDIT2 (17:43 GMT-3): That doesn't look good...

Quote from boosterfire :Actually it must mean something like:

- You will need a loan to buy it: check;
- It can heat your basement during the long winter months: check;
- Will cause your electricity corporation to love you: check;
- Noise will cause burglars to flee: check.

Actually it is neither of those. It's a technology comparison between the newest nVidia graphics card and the ATi HD series graphics cards, in which nVidia features a lot more things that the HD series don't. I don't know which features, though, since I don't speak korean/chinese/japanese, but I can guess:
DX11 features, SLI/crossfire, 3D gaming, mobile (for laptops and such) version, GPU calculated physics (physx), etc.

Quote from Xaid0n :I'm on a 10MBit line but you will rarely see half that, typical ISPs, love ya money, but don't like giving out the speed advertised.

That's actually strange for me since I'm on GVT with 10mbit/s line and I usually get about 11mbit/s download speed (yes, more than advertised. Speedtest.net also confirms that, and they don't charge me more for it, and also don't have any download limits whatsoever)... I have once gotten 1.56MB/s download speed downloading a torrent (constant speed, from beginning to end of the download), but download speed for general internet browsing is usually around 1.36MB/s. I always get a bit better rates when downloading some files, though (like 1.45MB/s).

One day (recently) when I came back home Steam had downloaded a HL2 update, and "PEAK DOWNLOAD RATE" was showing 2MB/s. I don't know how, though, and when I noticed this the download had already finished.

(Upload speed is also higher than advertised.)

Quote from Crashgate3 :No idea, as mine is uncapped

Same thing here.
But on my unlimited cellphone packet data I use an average of 5GB/month. (they tell the usage every month in the account as well as sms, mms and calls, otherwise I wouldn't know).

Does anyone know if the country you're in makes any difference for taking part in the beta? It would be awful if they didn't let me in just because I'm from Brazil, or if it took longer to be accepted than other countries (you know, Brazil is not even far from consuming as many games as the USA for instance, and also I suppose they'd expect people to get the game in the language of their country, even though I don't really want to play it in Portuguese, I just want to play the beta asap!).

When someone gets their hands in the beta please tell us! (and also tell us which country you used to sign up )

Quote from Bose321 :I subscribed twice...

Kinda stupid you HAVE to fill in what consoles you own, I don't own any, but I HAVE to fill in one, so I just did Wii. I SO hope I get it.

Agreed.
I filled in the PS2 because since I have a PS1 it's the closest thing I could have chosen...

Quote from zeugnimod :"Alors On Danse" is pretty bad.

No idea why it's so successful all over Europe. :/

I really like it too. I find it very funny.
If I hadn't watched the video when I first listened to the song I might have not liked it so much, because the song by itself is not very understandable for me (specially since I don't speak french ).

I can't see where it's written "inevitable links thread".
I'd rather see the pictures straight forward, but I don't mind using mouse gestures on Opera to open them all in new tabs very quickly.

Lynce, this is your best work so far. That's incredible, some skies and landscapes are just jaw dropping.

I have started doing the installers but since it's very late right now and tomorrow will be a full day of work for me, they might take a bit more than planned. I'll try to get a bit earlier from work to finish the installers by Monday evening.

Lynce, sincerely that has got to be your best looking LFS add-on! That one together with the remaining of the April 7th Revolution Pack addons (tyres, thread patterns, breakes and add-ons which were not revised because they have great enough quality) and we get a whole new LFS graphical experience, thanks to you!

I'm looking forward to the HQ video too.
