17-02-2008 - F1RST Racing is proud to announce their latest addition to the team: from Portugal, André Roque (license name Rocabiliz) has come to reinforce the driver's lineup!

André, who will be our youngest member, was looking for a new challenge in his LFS career. After he had declined an offer from our side earlier, he now contacted us when the decision to leave Speed-Core was made. In the following period he has impressed us with a good combination of speed and friendliness and we're therefore very happy he decided to come aboard!

So a very warm welcome to this youngster from the sunny Southern Europe. We're looking forward to very successful years for and with you on the team!

+1 for the idea though, but it's been suggested many times before

Personally I think the best solutions have already been posted:

1) Ask Scawen to output an engine damage value and time needed to repair damage in pits value via InSim and create a nice algorithm that uses those values ánd includes stint length, race time left, sector of disconnection.
2) Ask Scawen to catch timeouts with an AI ghostcar taking over.

Until Scawen has implemented this, unfortunately we have to depend on the sportsmanship of the teams, to step forward and admit they used this cheat to get a better result in the race, since it's virtually impossible to prove it...

I loved the intro with the drivers presentation, very nicely done! Not a big fan of LFS crash footage because it looks so unrealistic, but the for rest it's really nice. Nice action packed overview of the season I think

Thanks for the comments everyone! Seems I'm gonna have to "finish" this one then Apparantly I could have done that for the live broadcast as well, since some of the team video's were even 5 minutes

I'll try to make something out of it, let's hope I don't make it worse

Where do you get the knowledge of an empty fuel tank from.. it wasnt empty by far! He had a flat tyre in lap 24 and started with 100% fuel, there was still 7-8% left. The reason for no RPM during the pitstop was simply because he turned the ignition off during the stop, to save a bit of fuel and thus shortening the pitstop time.
Ploughing through the last chicane therefore wasn't necessary in order to make it to the box, nor was it intentional.

Stephan's explanation is as follows: "the rest of the lap the car seemed quite controllable so I didnt see any problem in hitting the chicane with that speed. When the car didnt turn in, but just went straight on I thought the only way to prevent a hazardous situation (spin causing the people right behind me problems) I saw no other way then driving through that chicane."

I don't understand why you think that this cut would be intentional... Are you aware of the fact that damage repair time is doubled in the new patch? Do you really think this saved us time?

This protest surprised me really...

Tried something new (well, new for me).. Especially for the 24h broadcast today I tried to make a short promo clip for the team, much like a television advertisement. So tried to make it short but powerful.. hope it turned out well... Please note you need some bass on your sound system to get the full experience
