No, don't get an Evo or some RWD V6 or a Skyline...

I know you guys can buy whatever you want as you don't *have* to deal with getting insurance, but please choose something sensible or you'll put it in a tree quicker than you can say "lift off oversteer".

Watching the LX6 video, that is... weird. The idea of inducing understeer to cure oversteer is a totally new concept to me. But it seems to be a very clever arse-saving technqiue, you learn something every day!

Isn't this car just a glorified Formula Palmer Audi? Especially with that stupid boost thing.

Can you imagine the front page of the Daily Mail (Fail?) tomorrow morning? They'll have a field day!

In the UK, I heard that Halfords Pro tools are almost equivalent quality to Snap-On and have really good warranties (free replacement IIRC). Dont know if this is true though as I've never used them

Love the day/night thing and weather, hopefully the offroad physics will be decent. Bit split on the idea of licences and "enemies" though... And it still looks like TDU1.

I quite like the new Colt. Baby Evo at the front anyone?

Thanks guys, I'll try and dry the carpets out quickly and get it valeted.

I'm glad it won't corrode the frame and fall apart though... And I'm staying away from water from now.

Thanks, will the corrosion cause any immediate problems in the next year and a half?

I have a nice newbie question for everyone!

I drive a FWD Ford Puma. On my way to uni last week, I tried going through a ford in a small village and, embarassingly, got stuck halfway (my fault for doing it wrong!). The water came up to front lip but was well below the exhaust. I pushed the car out, the AA got it started and it's been running fine since.

However, the rear footwells seem to have collected some water (I'd guess upto a couple of cms high). I've put some newspaper down and plan to attack it with a hairdryer then hope it dries up eventually.

What I was wondering is if the water in the footwells will cause any structural damage to the car underneath, and what runs between the front and rear wheels (apart from the exhaust) that might get damaged and become a real problem if the water seeps through?

Thanks in advance

Coca Cola does fine for me. Can't stand the taste of energy drinks, but Sprite 3G (don't know if they make it anymore) works well! And Red Devil is good when doing sport.

Love that Tamiya RX-7 and the other model kit.

(replayed it the other day, realised the soundtrack was brilliant)

It's good they've realised people are bored of the shite they've been turning out for the last 2 years (Carbon and NFSMW were okay...). Not sure it's a good idea to rip off GRID though, tbh. I don't believe anyone can match that game's fun factor except Codies.

Would it kill EA to go back to proper Need For Speed?

I have an HPI Micro RS4 drift and it's really good fun, I'm not nearly good enough to use it in competition!

Quote :I support Sennheiser 100%, I only have the HD 280's and they're great, I'm sure the higher up models are even better.

The 595's are well worth the money, if you have an amp then get some 650s and if you're stupidly rich I think the new HD800s are about £1000.

True, what's the point of including a channel you can't hear in headphones?

Please tell me you don't have to queue up to get in the plane like you do at the bowling alley etc?

Nah, this is normal. Mine is a bit sluggish as well.

Sensible Idea:

If you want something that does 0-60 in sub-11 seconds, gets 35-40mpg (which is good!) and is cheap to insure, get a 1.6 Ford Focus. Go for the Zetec model as it has the "sporty" suspension setup, unlike the LX and Ghia.

You really do not need anything quicker, and you won't get better fuel economy without buying a diesel.

I would suggest a 1.6 Puma, but the insurance would kill you. I'm 19 now and still pay £1300 FC a year.

It's a good game, although too linear and I didn't like the indoorsy platformy bollocks. Or the combat. Basically the same as everyone else, really. Here's hoping ME2 will be free roam-ish

I have a random question about the GTR in GT5... if ASM and TC are turned on, does that then reflect a GTR with the aids turned on and vice versa? Or does GT5 still simulate the GTR's computerised stability things even if the ASM and TC are turned off in game?

This would only be useful if you could take your unlocked S2 with you and play it wherever imo...

Really? I would have thought the prices were similar all over Europe what with the exchange rate etc now. You could consider importing from a cheaper European country (no idea if Dell UK will ship to you), I can't imagine the shipping costs would add up to more than buying one locally.
