Quote from The Very End :I totally agree, but again, the current rallycross tracks in LFS would need an extra chicane / section added, if it should be any use of the jokerlaps.

It would just be done with the autox editor and the user just adding in a checkpoint for the joker lap. Quite simple really!

Check this out supposedly in game screenshots http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?p=3708836#post3708836

Quote :After announcing KartSim® in November of 2006, Melbourne based developers Maschine Simulations Pty Ltd have now released in game screenshots showcasing the Oakleigh Go-Kart Racing Club in Melbourne, Australia that will feature in their soon to be released demo. In addition to revealing what we can expect visually from KartSim®, the new screens are the first to demonstrate the capabilities of their new proprietary simulation engine dubbed ‘Kaizen’.

In what will be a first for racing simulations, KartSim® will present drivers with the very same challenges that face real world drivers and teams in real-time. Through the inclusion of interoperable dynamic weather, environment and track modeling technology, drivers will be forced to adapt to the changing conditions produced by these systems. With each system being co-dependent and visually represented, other dynamic elements such as time of day, cloud cover, sun light, track temperature, air temperature / humidity and racing-line rubber / marble levels are all calculated and relayed to the physics and graphics engines for processing; thus effecting the karts’ handling and lap times.

With the initial release featuring Australian circuits, Maschine Simulations have taken the unique approach of selecting circuits based upon the driving and visual experience offered and not on their prominence within the karting world; a decision that has led to little known kart tracks being included in the selection along with several world renowned circuits. As well as being the home track of one of the developers, the Oakleigh Go-Kart Racing Club is also known for its notorious bumps and undulations, high difficulty level and its tendency to generate many professional drivers.
Placing emphasis on realistically recreating the atmosphere and experience of a real world kart meeting, KartSim looks set to change the way drivers have traditionally approached sim racing. With drivers having to adapt to the changing wet and dry conditions, fluctuating rubber levels and the possibility of a downpour 30 seconds before the start of the race or qualifying, it should make off and online racing much more exciting and immersive as well as making players keep an eye on those overhead clouds. With Maschine Simulations keeping quiet on the release date of both the demo and full release, KartSim® is definitely one to watch. More information can be found on their website www.KartSim.com by signing up to their announcement list.

I think this quote from another thread applies perfectly to himself
Quote from ciph :You just know how to start your mouth and start talking shit that is totally unnecessary for anyone.

Hes just a kid that thinks he is the best and knows a lot more than anyone else.

Slightly off topic but how does engine brake reduction work on the BF1?

I really wish the mods would get on top of this demo bashing. Just because i paid for the game doesnt give me any right to talk down to those that for whatever reason do not have a license. They can play the demo for however long they want doesnt bother me and im sure it really doesnt bother the devs. This forum really is going downhill fast thanks to a few licensed members.

So brake pedal is measured by pressure put on it not by the distance the pedal travels?
Also what do you think of the shifter?

Quote from Racer X NZ :Hard to think of a better way to run 98.

If Vista didn't need 2 gig of ram & a good video card just to run itself then I might like it more.
Still, XP is supported till 2010 so I'll think about changing then........

And if OSX is crashing then check the permissions and apple/option/P/R on startup. The magic number is 5 chimes.

I run Vista on an Athlon XP 2500, 1 gig RAM and a 9600XT and i have no problems with it

Quote from Jertje :I think some people are just a bit worried that they've spent quite a sum of money on a (great) unique product in the market in terms of price/performance, and now there's a competitor entering the market which has some improvements to offer, but also seemingly a couple of flaws (which are attacked heavily in turn). Is it just cognitive dissonance and is everyone suddenly trying to justify their purchase of the G25? I really don't see a reason for people to attack a wheel they haven't touched yet.

Perhaps I shouldn't get involved anyway, since I'm a happy cheapskate with a DF :P

Exactly my thoughts! I wasnt going to say anything as i figured i would have been eaten alive by those who have a G25.

Quote from TiJay :Is this aimed at RL racers or something? Because, even if the tracks are perfect and the physics are light years ahead of anything else, who is going to pay that amount of money per year for what seems to be 4 cars and 5 tracks?

yes it is and quite a few people on other forums have already stated they will be purchasing this.
