One question. is she interested in LFS at all? Because if one is interested in anything, he or she will try, try and try until he or she is good at that thing. I know i'm not interested in german at school and i'm doing poorly there
And just where would you put the engine? On the back seats? Well, no more RR then. And that engine coupled with 2 turbos in race spec would probably be capable of producing 1000 bhp. Or more.
I thought about that too. But imagine, with weather in S3 it would be rain, rain, rain. i'd like to see a South African, Jamaican or some other 'warm place' city with the track running by the coastal promenade, with palm trees lining behind the wall, the ocean (like in Fern). I'd basicly like a city, that is on the coast, has a modern promenade section and let's say an old style city centre with the race running through it. Can you say cobble stone roads???
Read what tristan said. No need to add anything to the game. You just have to find out how to get data from outsim and convert it to useable data for this cushion. That's all.
D1 cars have upgraded suspensoin. Race cars have that too. It's not a neccesety. They DO NOT (i repeat, DO NOT!!!) use special tyres. D1 uses road tyres, as i said in my post before (which you have not read (apparently)), they use Bridgestone Potenza RE-0i, Advan Neova, Dunlop Direzza and simmilar tyres. Top of the line, highest gripping road tyres. Which you can buy (for a large amount of money, but still, you can. Oh, there's a possibility they are illegal in sweden). More horsepower is there just so they can press the gas and slide. And slide for a while. D1 drifters can drift with 150 BHP. They are that good. Again, it's not a neccesety. Special drift tracks... Where did you get that idea? D1 uses race tracks (yes, race tracks. Irwindale is an oval that has a layout inside, a bit different, but others are race tracks). They just take a section of the track that can be linked nicely. Usually it's a left-right/right-left combination. It can have more corners too. The more, the harder it is to judge in D1.
If you can't drift with the XRT it doesn't mean nobody can. Heck, i can (and i was a drifter, turned racer now) so don't go 'everybody is against drifters'. That's not true. Persoanly i'm against drifters that want 'special' cars and tracks. It's NOT needed. It's not real too. Learn how to drift. For more about that, visit http://www.lfs-torque.net/
EDIT: Oh, special tyres. This was suggested. It was suggested that a very hard and high gripping tyre would be brought in. Those 2 don't go very well with each other. It would be possible to bring just a very hard tyre that would also give you almost no grip. So it's almost pointless. You can drift with red tyres very well. I did 16 laps on BL1 non-stop with one set of tyres before they poped. Lost both of the rear in 6th lap on Kyoto Long. Did spin a few times but hey. It's doable.
A 'proper' drift car is a normal road car. Like an XRT. 'Drift tyres' are high grip road tyres. Like potenza RE-01, Advan neova, etc. illepall
What's with all the drifters requesting 'special drift cars' and 'special drift tracks'??? Jesus Christ, everything that is drifted with or drifted on in real life is just normal every day stuff!! Okay, drift specials may have hydraulic handbrakes, MAYBE they have more steering lock but that's it. Oh and in D1 they have shitloads of bhp. You can drift with a stock 200SX. illepall
RevengeR same here, games are expensive as hell. Luckely none of them offer me no interest. Except LFS that is
Bout the price comparison, have no idea. Ciggies are over 2€ a pack, fuel (98 octane) is a bit over 1€ pr litre, haven't got a clue about bread, even less for weed(!), i only know how much beer costs in pubs, 24 or 30 minutes of electric go-karting (i can't remember but i think it's an 8 minute session there) and i haven't got a clue about the other stuff. I don't work (and i'm 17 years old) so i don't know what's the minimum wage.
What if someone that has a licence gives the DL link to someone that hasn't got a licence? Or even easer, sends the files to demo user or hosts them somewhere public? Encrypt the cars, only option.
A friend told me about it. He got me hooked almost 3 years ago now. He told me about LFS when i was still running P166. Then got a P4, quickly DLed S1 demo and never quit since
Actually i think FE is very nice as it is. Maybe some new textures or so, but definetly no remodeling! Maybe some new distance boards. All in all i like the ruggedness of FE. GTR on Black for example is a freaking rollecoaster!!! So fast and so tight!
The XR GT IMO is good enough. You'd probably be surprised by the lack of performance. I mean an Apexi tuned version is putting out 150 bhp. At times the GTT feels slow. And it has a hundred more. Don't blindly believe animes. They are cartoons after all.
About AE86... The XR GT is quite close to it. I know drifters would love it because of Initial D. But it's a real car, licencing problems. And it's not THAT great. I mean, it has a live rear axle. it's just an image. I'm not going out on drifters, heck, i used to be a full time drifter, now i still (rarely) do it.
