Ah... I have netguard, which I think is the same as pc guard - the problem must be with their database. See, information flows once the fanboys shut up.
OK, but there is a problem somewhere. Please do not dismiss it just because the autoupdater is working for you. I'm not an idiot, but without an alternative to the autoupdater the patch is not retrievable for me.
Please don't give me the 'enough already' shite...
I'm not saying that there IS a virus, but my system is clean and well maintained. My software is recognising the file as a threat. That is all. The autoupdater is not working for me.
I have the same problem - my virus software recognises the file as a threat (same file name W32/downloader...) and immediately deletes the downloaded package. I'm using the autodownloader.
Respect is something that only gets offered with familiarity - otherwise its just fanboy shit and I don't do that.
So, as I haven't been around here very long, the asnwer to "when does it begin?" is "Not yet." But my respect is available to anyone who cares enough to articulate what they do without arrogance or assumptions, and who cares enough to compete from start to finish to the best of their ability.
Cheers. Its the T button - couldn't find this in any of the usual documentation, so maybe it could do with updating... but found this explanation eventually:
bring up the connection list with 'N'
click on the 'T' behind your name
then your teammate (in spectator mode) also has to click the 'T' behind your name
(provided for anyone besides me who's confused/curious...)
Just been speed reading the thread, so probably I've missed something... But how exactly does this work: does a team have to be in the same physical location to swap drivers over ie. using the same computer?
What, apart from testosterone and a desire to look into the abyss, is stopping aspirant, but solo, drivers from forming a team?
But there are already adequate nuisance laws with which to deal with that problem. But to use them would be too simple. Oh no, we need something else. Quick, let's see what we can cook up...
Get the dose wrong (or discover that you're sensitive) and your INR will go sky high, in which case it may be the same as death. Been there and got the story to tell in the pub.
But whatever.... 24hours of playing games alone just isn't healthy, however you look at it.
I think you mean Warfarin, which used to be employed as rat poison, and I can say from experience that it isn't something to screw about with. Not a drug that I can recommend you self-administer without considerable knowledge.
You're much better off taking a regular walk about the room with every pit-stop if you really have so little do that you'll be happy to sit in front of a monitor for 24 hours....
That is such a dangerous idea - in more ways than one. Anyone who's actually ridden a bike (rather than looked at one and thought "oooooh, that looks scary - need to find a way to tame that...."), knows that accelerating out of harms way is one of the best defences a rider has.
But its dangerous in other ways - we, as a society, are sleepwalking into an era of delusion: we seem to be under the impression that the more we legislate, the more we control the world, the safer it will be.
Has anyone considered that the repair bill to the Enzo is probably a lot cheaper than advertising this popcorn movie worldwide by normal means? That's what I call clever....
Since the idea of actually passing someone is a fairly optimistic one from my perspective, I'm rather more interested in the technicality of FE gold. KY national is likely to produce some flat out fun, but, lets be honest, is coming off that section of oval at 160mph into the fairly technical series of esses (with an unfamiliar controller...) any less likely to be free of dust and debris?
A little bit. In fact I'm glad you posted this because they seem to vary. On some combinations they are just retarded, but on others... I have some UFRs on KY2 that I can hardly get close to. I thought I was just crap at that combination, but this gives me hope
Ebisu is really a complex of different circuits, but the main one has the start/finish just over the crest of a hill - simple layout, but a few blind bends and some dramatic elevation changes make it interesting.
OT EDIT: Yeah, that's Cleveland you're thinking of... How wide?!!
I always liked Sugo, with that steep incline, a near double apex turn, then that rush downhill... Reminds me a bit of Brands. And Ebisu too... I'm no expert, only ever been to Japan once, but the thing that struck me is that its actually a very rural country and the circuits tend to be narrow, twisty, with lots of elevation changes. In this respect KY is very out of character.
I don't know if this kind of thing ever works - in Racer there were cars with tinted windows and all it ever did was make the track darker and harder to see. It was an annoying effect that anyone interested in driving (instead of admiring the cleverness) got rid of as soon as possible.
When looking at a computer screen your eyes don't focus beyond the muck or adjust to the tint, because everything is happening on the same plane - its a two-dimensional image no matter how real you imagine it to be. For me, this type of effect is always a barrier to immersion.
Oh, there were a few posts about the contest, but I don't understand it all. Never been a fan of kitsch or the "its so bad, its great" type of thing. There's so much really good music that people don't hear. The link I posted was a Turkish psychedelic band from the seventies. Far more deserving of being a song for Europe I think.
As for Fela - I think he knew it would have destroyed everything he'd built to be seen giving anyone a backhander. He was at war.
