Same motor, same turbo, same fuel injectors.... The difference between the 2001 150hp and 2002 180hp is the mapping. Dustin has the 150hp and I have the 180hp. Our cars are identical except for the mapping.
Completely forgot about it. What channel is this on? I missed it, but our wonderful cable and satellite television services in this country will give me 113354135 more times this week to catch it.
I have young daughters, so I have a lot of clutter. I'm reading a note sitting in front of the monitor from the 6 year old. It reads....
"Dear Emma to see the mine music go to firefox youtube an then tipe in taylor swift"
Hmm, the 2 conclusions I can see from that is, my daughter likes to watch Taylor Swift videos on youtube, and.... at 6 years old, she has better grammar and spelling than the majority of the English speaking folks here on this forum.
Have to be GTA IV since I've just been given an xBox 360 and it's the first time I've had a console since the old Sega Genesis (which I also still have.)
Been playing GTA IV. I also have Forza 2, but it's worthless with a gamepad.
There is an excellent way of making a masking layer via using the channels that is very precise. Unfortunately, I would need to hunt down the tutorial and couldn't pick it off the top of my head. (that, and I don't have time because I am sitting here on overtime at work talking about photoshop on a racing game forum )
I'm old, I don't have the time or energy. I counted one day and I climb up and down 3 flights of stairs about 40 times in an 8-10 hour day. That's 120 flights of stairs a day.
It's now getting cold outside, which means it's only a mere 85-90 F at work (nice and cool now) and after climbing up and down the stairs all day, along with standing on my toes on a ladder for half of the day, coming home, finishing cooking dinner, homework with 2 girls, fighting them to get in the shower, and managing to pick up my guitar maybe twice a week, by 10-11 pm, I just can't seem to get the willingness to do any fitness.
Most folks I know would keep coffee in the fridge to keep it fresh if it was one of those vacuum packaged or fresh ground (ie, not bought in a big metal can....)
How impressive on the burnout. Wow, wish I could have impressed people with my cars like that.... oh, yeah, I could do that in my 97 hp pickup truck, or my FWD 70 hp 1985 Ford Escort econobox..... Heck, I could do that in my old 1983 Ford Escort 3 speed automatic.
Mentioned a while back I was heading on a quick vacation to the beach. I never did upload and post.
I woke up early to head out for some sunrise. Problem was, didn't think about the fact that the sun rises much earlier at the beach than at home. Woke up pretty early, certainly earlier than I was expecting the sun to be breaking the horizon yet and there it was way up in the sky already, LOL.
Anyways, here's the only decent shot I got from the weekend.
Local little town had a fall festival today. took the girls down to roam around. Sat and listened to this guy for a while playing his cigar box guitar.
And while we're at it, here are a couple of uploads I did not long ago of some boring flower shots. I never played around with the macro function of the ole superzoom. Figured out some stuff that I liked with it. These are outdoors in natural sunlight.
That's what the numbers say, but in reality because of all the security and networking crap on the work machines, home is screaming fast compared to work.
I've been to Canada, before a passport was needed. Don't need to see it again. As for travelling elsewhere other than Mexico.... My car wouldn't make it 3 feet outside of the US soil to travel elsewhere, thus there's no reason to have a passport.
We're not all made of money over here to be able to travel. You all hate us anyways, so why would we feel welcome?
Seriously, since we are a season behind on Top Gear over here, I've learned I would love to visit Europe after watching either the season premier or one of the final shows of last season where they went hunting for the best roads in Europe.
Comparing traveling over there compared to over here is like comparing apples to oranges. You folks can say you've been all over Europe in many different countries. I just mapped a route through Europe by car. The route travels from Netherland, through Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and finishes in France. The route is still 3 hours short of my trip to Disneyworld this year.
Just looked up some flight numbers. Seems to be about $1500 flight to fly to Munich, Germany. So, there is my wife, 2 kids, and myself. Ever think that this may be the reason we don't travel abroad to other continents? It cost enough just to travel within our own country. Add to the flight the cost of staying somewhere, seeing things, eating, and the cost is well above what I paid for my car.
I can think of a lot more important things to spend 1/4 of a year's salary on.
Not to worry, I thought the same thing when I read it until I looked at the photos.
And, if I had the money to buy the various cars mentioned, I probably would play LFS because I could afford a PC and the driving setup I'd like to have. As it is now, I drive a cheap used VW Jetta and don't play LFS anymore because of old PC syndrome. More important things to spend money on than replacing a web browser box and a wheel/pedal setup that no longer works, like the cheap newer car so I can get to work instead of it sitting torn apart constantly in the driveway.
A neighbor was out playing ball with his boy. He slipped in the grass and fell hitting his head. No problem, didn't hurt and he was fine. 2 days later he collapsed and was dead (confirmed reason was from the mild bump on the head.)
Somehow upon seeing the widowed wife, saying something like, "At least he wasn't a tart and he didn't go to the hospital from such an insignificant bump" just doesn't seem to be appropriate.
An insect bite shouldn't be something to worry about, but it also shouldn't swell up significantly. If it does, there's something obviously wrong.
It amazes me how the UK population here on the forum bragged up and down about their government medical back in threads about the US health overhaul, yet so many of them feel it is better to get advice on the LFS forums rather than the wonderful medical system of the UK government...
