Where have YOU been?
canada, and washington D.C. and in between for travel.

but my friend's dad owns a buisness and has the money to buy me and my friend one way tickets to italy. my family owns a house there. and me and my friend want to move there. nobody is taking it too serious, but im sure if i try hard enough, i could get a realistic plan that MIGHT work out. that sounds pretty epic

Couch surfing?

I have been to... let's see...

Would love to go to Japan, United States, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and so many more places. Traveling is great (don't confuse it with holidays where you simply stay in a hotel).
France , Spain, Italy, Holland, Tunisia and India.

On the 'to do' list... Alaska, Canada, Thailand and a lot more trips to India.

Nice to see the Americans in this thread living up to their reputation.
I would like to make you guys aware of a document called a passport.. it enables you to leave your country and see other places in the world!!!

Aren't they one of the least travelled people in the developed world?, according to the stats, isn't its something scary like 80% of people in the US don't have a passport?
I've never been abroad, but I have travelled around most of East Anglia (Cambridge, P'boro, Great Yarmouth, Ely etc), South West (Newquay, Truro, St Austell, Penzance, Bristol etc) and South East England (Canterbury, Dover, Chatham, Maidstone etc) and Eastern Scotland (Dundee, Montrose, Edinburgh, Aberdeen etc).

I actually thought it was worse than that. I read that only 7% of Americans had a passport. Who knows what the real figure is though.

All I know is wherever I've been I've met people from all over the world in those places, but I've only met 3 Americans in total on my travels.

Then again why would they want to go anywhere when they already live in the greatest country in the world
Xenophobia FTW!!!!
in Europe: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia , Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Czech rep., Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Neitherlands, Belgium, UK, France, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, maybe forgot something.
outside: Canaria islands (or it counts to Spain?), Morocco, Turkey, Egypt, Thailand, Argentina
want-to-go list, in no particular order: Iceland, U.A.E, Malaysia. Going to one of these next summer.
yes, our family loves to travel around
Quote from jibber :Couch surfing?

Guilty as charged .

So anyone got a sofa in New York I could borrow? *looks hopeful*

I've met two americans in thailand, they never ever wanted to go back to the USA again. It's like they've woken up from a long and terrible nightmare.
Theres no point in telling you where in mexico I've been... Soooo:

USA:
Nogales, Tucson, Phoenix, AZ.
San Jose, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Lake Tahoe, CA.
Las Vegas.
And Salt Lake City but only at the airport... It was snowy!

I've been to Canada, before a passport was needed. Don't need to see it again. As for travelling elsewhere other than Mexico.... My car wouldn't make it 3 feet outside of the US soil to travel elsewhere, thus there's no reason to have a passport.

We're not all made of money over here to be able to travel. You all hate us anyways, so why would we feel welcome?

Seriously, since we are a season behind on Top Gear over here, I've learned I would love to visit Europe after watching either the season premier or one of the final shows of last season where they went hunting for the best roads in Europe.

Comparing traveling over there compared to over here is like comparing apples to oranges. You folks can say you've been all over Europe in many different countries. I just mapped a route through Europe by car. The route travels from Netherland, through Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and finishes in France. The route is still 3 hours short of my trip to Disneyworld this year.

Just looked up some flight numbers. Seems to be about $1500 flight to fly to Munich, Germany. So, there is my wife, 2 kids, and myself. Ever think that this may be the reason we don't travel abroad to other continents? It cost enough just to travel within our own country. Add to the flight the cost of staying somewhere, seeing things, eating, and the cost is well above what I paid for my car.

I can think of a lot more important things to spend 1/4 of a year's salary on.
Belguim:

The Spa Francorchamps circuit I stayed there for 5 days leading up to the F1 race in 2005.
2 years later I went to Brussels which also a day to enjoy.

Germany:

To a small town called Kleve just over the Dutch border it was a nice town.
After that we went straight to the town of Nuremberg to the green hell and went over it in a Suzuki swift.

Has the Nurburgring moved then?
He was only 200 miles out....it was close
It wouldn't be the first time someone has turned up a Nuremburg trying to find the Nurburgring!!!
Quote from danowat :Has the Nurburgring moved then?
