Qualifications:
On qualifying day, we will have anonymous judges give you a score on angle, speed, and excitement. The numbers will be matched with the closest to yours so on event day you aren't unfairly matched.
Event day:
There will be a maximum speed zone, so the leader of the run doesn't run off and get disqualified. (Max. Speed: 80km/h-50mp.h)
There will be two runs, one where one person leads, the second one the order gets switched. The point is given to whoever finishes first while show drifting. If 1 point is awarded to both drifters, then we repeat the 2 runs until someone is given 2 points.
Having more than three wheels off of the track will forefit your run.
If you hit the lead car, the judges will discuss the severity and decide to forefit your run or not. (If you hit someone and don't lose control, finish your run)
If you hit the lead car while it is under heavy braking, you will forefit the run for not adapting to the situation. (depending on severity)
Runs will most likely be on a specific part of a track, rather than an autocross layout. (this section for the first event is still to be determined)
Questions? This thread will be open for questions and suggestions.
Hey everybody. I have sent a PM to a moderator to ask Victor if we could get this sub-forum moved out of inactivity. (ding! )
Yes! We have a new name! Seeing as I am the leader of the RF Drifting team I've decided the name be changed to the
"Race Factory Drifting League" (ding! )
The league will have a section on the RF website, at http://rfleague.com (half done)
Hope to see more activity and looking forward to some great events.
These people that say "just shrug it off" it aint that simple, trust me.
Even in a stupid mini-comp for drifting I get nervous as hell, in the last one, broke, was too busy watching the guy infront of me, and slid off the track.
I say practice practice practice and experience gets rid of them but I highly doubt the most practiced & experienced driver has shrugged these feelings at the beginning of an event or a long race.
Also: I've learned to enjoy this feeling, its quite the adrenaline rush and it can be fun.
Yeah Cez, sorry for getting into a bit of an argument and we'll take it outside of this thread. As for Victor not making a forum because it will be a "nooby" league thats just wrong. We put lots of work into this and we should be granted it even if just for an event.
