Well, LFS "demo" already offers more than it should at this point. Nowadays, it doesn't even encourage players to move on into S2, but why would anyone? Sometimes I just fire up LFS, load the server list to find out I have nowhere to connect.

@Scawen, might only be me, but using a load-cell pedal feels weird in LFS compared to other sims. What is the root behind that "problem"? The cars simply don't require that kind of braking a load-cell pedal could provide, due to the fact that almost every brake-point in every car is a flat out and those tires never really start locking up. I feel myself at a disadvantage, having the equipment, whereas compared in other simuilators I can only use 65-85% of the brake potential, over that it's only locking up.

And now we could go about eSports and players being athletes, but that's a new story that doesn't belong to this topic. Hope you'll have another chance with this and do your best next year

Quote from Bose321 :I doubt that... Most like just 100+ like 120, 150 or 180 or something.

I'm already at 200/50 connection. It will be an upgrade to 1000/100Mbit coming in ~2 days.

Oh lol, I thought you are talking about the one just above the wheel on windscreen.

Quote from Bose321 :Must be a lot easier. In fact, I will try it right now because you make it sound so easy.

I'm also willing to give it a try in case someone throws a drift spec. S15 at me and an airplane ticket to Meihan Circuit.

Quote from Bose321 :Ah that's great. Is it any good?

Will see from 15 July, that's when the ISP plans to switch to 1000MBps connections. It bears the 100/50 fine though, but that's like not a challenge for it.

That's part of the mod

Quote from bogdani.cojocaru :Well then, that means modding is pointless since pretty much all the tracks suck and they feel like NFS. Unless someone who doesn't get a dime decides to spend more of his own life coding a track for a bunch of people on the internet.

I didn't say that, but having a rushed up car mod with a badly scaled track that even it's owner admitted wasn't a 100% replica of the LFS track, hence it's built from scratch. You don't really need to take the same track in different sims to compare the two and well, what point would it prove anyway? Comparing physics of different sims feels dull, due to the fact that most of these sims have more to offer than just physics and to take an example, someone who sticks with iRacing most probably doesn't do it for the physics.

First of all, iRacing doesn't have a porsche and this one doesn't even look close to what iRacing has, neither the interrior nor the chassis. I'd rather guess that's a cheap conversion from an rFactor 1-2 GT3 mod.

@bogdani, comparing games through cheap mods on which developers spent less than a week to code the physics? I guess it's totally legit, not.

My problems is already solved, so no need to break heads on that. It was just a wrong password written on the contract so I had to contact the ISP.

Quote from MandulAA :Using this one 3 years already, no problems and both the lan and wifi performance is very good and it's not that expensive: http://www.netgear.com/home/pr ... R3500L.aspx#tab-techspecs

I bought the TP-Link already, I'm facing some problems though.... The router doesn't seem to be able to connect to my PPPoE network, fails the authentication, but I gave the correct login details. What the heck?

Not being familiar with a MOBA game means it's not really worth to watch this because you'll have no clue about what is happening on the stream and what is the goal. You can only enjoy these types of streams if you are familiar with the genre and the game itself too. I don't have much satisfaction from watching this, simply cause I don't know crap about DoTA2 teamcomps, characters and their spells and objectives other than towers. It's not really a jump in and win style genre.

I think I'll go with the one you posted then, as WiFi is not that important for me to worth the fuss of 802.11ac, although it supports n protocol aswell, as I read, but it's not worth 3x the price then if the wired connection doesn't suffer speed loss and let's hope the ISP keeps its word to the 1GBps connection.
Thanks for the help Bose.

Wow, that's weird... I didn't even find an 1000MBps WAN port router on Hungarian sites with that price tag. Looking around yesterday I found this and this.

Are those 2 really worth that extra price compared to the one you suggested or it's just like throwing money out of the window?

Quote from MandulAA :Maybe there should be a question during the first startup: "Do you want to see your arms?" :huepfenic

twice

On topic: I'm still driving with arms off and wheel on, bad habits carry on along the years. LFS has an acceptable set of steering wheels, unlike iRacing which resulted in an insta turn-off.

Ah, I'm pretty sure I meant 1000Mbit and not 100 with that post. I don't think that's a basic feature with every router. I need a router, and my ISP doesn't provide it. I need it mainly for my PCs and not WiFi, as said it's only optional, guess it would make my life easier with laptops.

So summing it up, I need something that supports an 1000MBps connection, lasts a long time, household "compatible" and optionally has WiFi.

Hey there guys!

My ISP announced a bandwith increment for August, which means it'll be mandatory for me to get a router with Gigabit WAN port. Can you suggest some routers with this hardware spec. with reasonable price tag? Thanks for your help in advance.

Felt alright with G25 and feels awesome with CSW. I don't really have a problem with the way iR ffb works. I feel like AC's is lacking with this hardware.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but the Auto-updater doesn't work for me, so I had to patch manually. I'm guessing that the changed path for my LFS folder is a no-go for the auto-update.

Quote from Velociround :-60% off? Do I have to give them my bank information so they can deposit the money to me when I buy the game?

By the way, guys, have you seen that some games on Steam go up to 190% off? The search page shows the developers are paying you to download their game, but the game pages (where you could buy it) automatically delete the purchase button (from the code, not just disable) whenever the discount is more than 100%

Actually my logic suggests that a -60% discount would equal a 60% price increase, correct me if I'm wrong..
