Hello fellow racers, this is your final notice that you MUST set a lap in the pre-qualifying server to be able to race. The pre-qualy server will close at midnight Saturday (BST) and from then on if you haven't set a time you will not be able to race in this round.

Pre-qualy is amazingly tight with 76 racers already qualified and even a 100th of a second could move you to a higher server, which means more points. So good luck and hope to see you online.

Once again, the pre-qualy server is called [SR] FOX League 1.

Yeah I had an old nc config file in there. Strange that it stops the new airio.cfg file from working when it is not even in the structure

Yeah I setup our FOX Racing before anyone else, took the time to configure airio and the combos, we made a webpage with championships, appointed an admin team with a report system and dealt with the massive grids. Everything was running great, then our servers died for a few days, then FM FOX Junkies appeared and seems to have taken over... The same happened to our GTi server aswell, only LR Race Centre took over..

The servers are still running as is everything else, but instead of the mad crazy big grids, with the ensuing crashes and blame games, we get a more manageable number with cleaner racing...

But good luck to FM, as I know how much work it can be trying to make the huge grids clean

TBH I have this same problem. I have the default text for faq's & notes and they are in my cfg file but don't show up when clicked in the shift-i menu...

Avih, I know that If I have LFS running and try to browse the LFS folders, especially skins and sets, that it takes ages, so maybe try deleting that shortcut for now to see if it helps

This topic was a joke but also has a serious undertone. The development speed of LFS lately coupled with the disappointment obviously felt by many in the community with the continued delays to the Scirocco has left many "old Skool" LFS'ers finding it difficult to be motivated. This is one of the reasons we have a large team, to make up for members going inactive, which is happening more and more lately.

Core & spdo have been expanding aswell lately, and it does seem to be coming true my prediction that either teams would get bigger or fold, due in no small part to LFS development speed and keeping activity and interest alive in LFS.
I think that alot of the posts poking fun at the the team size is quite pathetic TBH and shows either a complete lack of understanding or total jealousy.. If we had 50 people all wanting to do 1 event at the same time then that could be an issue, but only around half of the team are active at one time, a smaller amount want to do certain events, less can actually make the event and practice, which leaves us with around 5-6 who actually can make a race, show good pace and want to do it. This is a perfect number IMO, and creates a healthy level of competition for places and also enough to not make practice a boring and lonely activity. This also should help relieve some of the pressure on our top drivers to always have to race, so keeping them fresh and motivated.

I also think that the fact that we have so many good drivers entering so many different events is a good thing too, it shows we are a diversified team. The fact that we also have alot of pickup racers shows we are not elitist in any way, as concentrating on just league racing can be fatal for interest, activity and morale.

I sincerely hope that F1RST or any of the other well respected teams don't close down and we get some updates pretty soon, to rekindle the interest of the people who have made LFS & the Community what it is today..

I have seen the popularity of their servers and the team grow in this time and I thought why not join them if I could and be part of it, and hopefully help them to reach their goals. [SR] Howie : Hi all, SR is the first team I'm joining and I hope I won't regret it.
Turkey had contacted me in October 2008 as well as some other teams who offered me to drive for them but at that time I didn't want to commit myself to a team and I didn't know if I had that much time for LFS to commit to a team.
Finally I had a little conversation with Turkey yesterday and he convinced me to join SR.
Besides the nice people I already became acquainted / raced against, SR offers for me a good package all around.
So I'm looking forward to have a nice time with you guys.
