Americanized rallycross, what do you think?

I missed 2011 completely but the 2012 looks interesting.
More power than europeean, all tarmac (but with waterspray in some corner), shortcut instead of Joker (but that might be due to possible track layout).

I noticed in the onborad video, that it is very loud, even in the pitlane he raises the voice quite alot to get heard.
Not that I expect Maybach style sound proofing on a light weight drivers car but anyway.

Quote from sgt.flippy :Not that surprising.

Guess what happened after movies like 101 Dalmatians, Beethoven, Hachiko, ... Suddenly everyone wanted the dogs from the movies and after a while got tired of them.

It's nothing new really.

OMG now I must pitch a story about some cute but horrible pet to Disney.
But its hard to come up with something worse than dogs, regarding hidden costs, work needed, life expectancy etc combined but dogs are very rewarding. Parrots are loud and live long. Ferrets are too energetic for most but short lived and not so large. Caucasian Shepherd is a cute puppy that will be able to tow even a large man in the leach while it rips the throat of the neighborur.
I think I found a possible winner: Sugar Glider - super cute, can not be house trained, needs attention all the time but can be neglected.

A big suprise, but I understand him.

Quote from Mustafur :I doubt he would go to Superbikes though, he would destroy it.

He is basically the best rider on the planet currently.

I do got a Feeling its to give his body a rest, it doesn't seem like its up to the task and probably needs to solve his Arm pump issues amongst other things.

I admire his ability to prioritize, he can surely afford to retire, why go through the huge amounts of training/pain needed to be the best rider in the world unless its awesomely fun.

Quote from Intrepid :http://twitter.com/#!/Official ... ic.twitter.com%2Fukl1I9Va

Just sayin'

Apparently V8 Supercars is something he wants to race after the test he did.

That would be awesome!

Quote from Crashgate3 :In the Volvo 860 video, the one following it at 0:35, is that for farmers that don't actually want any crops?

Its an odd config, Im asuming it is to compress the ground evenly (and as little as possible)

Will never forget, the ****ing cheat made me not watch f1 for 10 years.

(Still angry for the fun racing I missed during that time)

Quote from J@tko :Looks like Ralf Schumacher has been taking overtaking advice from LFS T1 noobs.

When he moved to DTM I said "good, wrecker fits with wreckers"m Coulthard did a similar thing but has improved.
...
There is something about F1 drivers past being excellent, they lack the patience to overtake when possible and the skill to yeld when passed by a faster driver. Leading to pitstop for front splitter and usually 0 points.

In touringcars, cars are so evenly matched that slight contact is unavoidable to do any overtake unless someone yields.

Past F1 drivers in touringcar serise combines the two factors. Even if DTM now is not a traditional TC more like some prototype/light GT -class.

too lazy to change my Zavatar but posts some since owning a vintage traktor is a childhood dream of mine (would buy one on the spot if I could find any practical reason)
Popular plowing tractor variant from 196x:

Quote from TFalke55 :Go Dirk, Joey, Andy and Gustl!

By the way: The cars are again so similar!

For athletic competition [1] almost identical cars are good, driver and engineer can make a difference. For spectacle it is not as good since those who manage to get the perfect setup go well in Q and get away in race.

I missed the last season, but for Andy its the first season? (Would be fun to see how Yvan could adapt to these cars)

[1]Im just too tired to find the right word.

Go Eki!

Think about possible strategies.
The tiger claws and teeth can incapacitate a man in mere seconds.

So are ten men enough to keep control of all those dangerous weapons of the tiger? Two men to hold each limb and two men to hold the head, can they do that? (not a chance, I think)

Poke the eyes out, without getting your gut ripped out by a paw stroke.

There might be a working strategy but I think not.

Quote from Storm_Cloud :[/I]Hamilton completely left the track. He rejoined gaining an advantage by completing his overtake. Did he have a justifiable reason to leave the track? That's debateable, but he did gain an advantage so still broke 20.2.

From what I saw (have not found a good replay) Hamiltons only alternative was to crash into Rosberg. The line Rosberg took to defend was OK, but considering the speed Hamilton had it was very dangeorus.

The Alonso incident was way slower.

Logitech wheels have many problems because they have many users. I have no reliable source on how many g27 have been sold but they are surely magnitudes more than any other premium wheel. Therefore a lot more problems, and a lot more complaints in forums etc. Maybe there are more problems with Logitech wheels that other but I doubt it, but the important point with my post is that you need better statistics than frum flames to decide.

(Mine have worked well until I have worn them out, no strange problems like alignment etc)

Quote from NSX_FReeDoM :One thing that really impress me over the weekend is Bruno Senna. He has been driving pretty decently over the last two GPs, out-raced Maldonado and had some impressive overtaking moves. I am starting to think maybe it wasn't such a bad idea for Williams to sign him.

And still the interviewers ask more questions about his uncle than his racing. :banghead:

What I mean is that there is never any need for the finesse of gradual acceleration or braking at the limit of adhesion.

Dirt1 - physics is bad and cars weigh like a bigmac.

Dirt2 - great physics, "arcade but belevable" OR "correct but simplified", all the tricks that work in RL works, can use the weight of the car to flick or use weight of the car to get stability in the high speed stuff. "I can't beleve this is Codemasters"

Dirt3 - horrible physics like Dirt1, no need to use the break pedal EVER, car weighs like a lollipop so hairpins are taken more or less flat out with a touch of the breaks and hand break to spin around. "Same old Codemasters"

Also the menu system is slow as an UF1 with cool effects that are cool the first time and annoying the second, and a long unskippable cut scene before and after every race.

Edit: tried to run Dirt3 with wheel, just annoying the FFB is a scam and why use pedals when they are full on or nothing anyway.

I've seen downhill boards done that way, not so severe of course. (competing in national series), for high speed stability.

Quote from el pibe :shame for Perez. He could have won.. nevertheless, he drove a great race!

In my book both him and Alonso was winners.

Quote from JazzOn :It was quite clear, afaik. Grosjean just slightly "understeered" into schumacher.

According to him, Schumie drove into him (by not running off track I suppose)

I did enjoy this race a lot.

Quote from scania :when you have less drag, you can use less engine power, when you need less engine power, power train sizs, mass, & the stiffness of chassic will need less, when they need less, the mass will also decrease, the brake, tire, and suspension can also make smaller, also the radiating neesed will less as less engine power, if you needed lesser radiating, the drag will be decrease again!

You are thinking backwards, this is just a optimized trike motorcycle.

I seriously want to know how they made it unstable enough to eliminate understeer.

Quote from The Moose :Developer in "not supporting 10 year old OS" shock!!!

Get used to it, it's 2012. Why anyone would support a 10 year old OS is beyond me.

For an office machine I see no point upgrading from XP, but for anything that gets happy from more than 3,5GB ram a 64bit os is a must (and xp64bit is crap)

Quote from flymike91 :maybe people don't need to live in two mile long ten level flats anyway. I think they're incredibly ugly and wasteful. People can live better and less expensively in apartments built using 21st century 'green' building techniques.

And with a city 20 times larger, there will not be alot of waste on transports instead? Or are you hoping all will pedal bikes.

Rehydrate - most of the hangover i dehydration.
* Water, water, water and salt. (sport drinks are good but some salty snacks and water works too)

Also, your digestive system gets hurt by the alcohols so eat some food. And if the hangover is too painful due to the poison that is produced when the body burn alcohol, a small amount of more alcohol (this cuts down the levels of poison but keeps them longer)

Preparations: I always eat something greasy before going to bed. I always fill a pint of water and put it by the bed, that way I can drink some room temp water quickly in the middle of the night (ice cold water is not nice to drink in the middle of the night)
