Wooo! It is coming out this year.... maybe. Tbh, you can't trust Turn 10 and Polyphony digital. Remember what happened to Fm1 and Gt4?

But still, I can't wait for the best console sim to finally come out!

Quote from The Very End :Did you write a little mistake there, you said it got more grip that Dirt1 and Grid? Or?

Yeah. By that I mean both of them. Driving in those games felt like driving on the ramps in lfs. That prob has been fixed in DiRT 2.

The first pic you posted was a Artist's impression of a Ford ka. ka's are not sexy. To make it worse, you post a pic of a Kia. Well, I think Luke.S might be impressed anyway.

It finished downloading eventually, I tried both races, and I was quite impressed by the demo, even though it was very limited. The cars have loads more grip than they did in GRID and DiRT 1. The lighting is very well done, without the overdone bloom, but not exactly realistic. Still, that game is a W.I.P.

As for the races, I prefered the Trailblazer race with the Eclipse. The roads were so tight, you had to turn in so much! It was challenging, but fun. I had to use the flashback feature a few times. The Rally raid was OK, but nothing interesting.

So overall, I'll give it a 8/10. That score could get higher on the final piece.

Quote from brandons48 :would they effect preformance at all? .. What would the drift pack be? Just a rollcage and a small bodykit of sorts?

Maybe a RICE PACK! Body kits, stereos, neons.. Yeaahhh..

Yeah, obviously they will be faster. The drift pack could also add a bodykit, as well as a ready made setup to make the cars tail stick out. And I would like the rice pack too!

Well, maybe not mod support, but how about ingame mods? Like taking about all the GTR's and giving each of the cars different packs. Here is what I am talking about:

- standard pack (road cars)
- Race stage 1 pack (stripped out/slicks on road cars)
- Race stage 2 pack (GTR's)
- RallyX pack
- Drag pack
- Drift pack (for rwd cars)

and maybe even more!

I dunno about you, but does anyone feel like a chocolate smoothie?

EDIT: It turns out that n4g article wasn't the full car list. I remembered the pic of the RS200, and one of the videos show an older Pajero 4x4 rally raid car. So that is 27 cars, not 25.

Wow, I was wrong about this game. DiRT 2 looks amazing after watching the London showcase vids!

Just check out the menu!

And proper staged rallying with annoying co-drivers are back!

Battersea at night looks pretty good too:

The driver talk (like in midnight club) will tend to wear out and get on your nerves, but it is shaping up to be pretty good!

the update is 'soon' in the same way GT5 is coming 'soon.' Wow, who know 2 great sims having something in common. They just aren't getting things done quick enough!

I sense alot of speculations in this thread are going to come up. Especially if I say 0.6 could be the final LFS S2 patch, it will have all bug fixes, stuff that you wanted from the suggestion forum and the Scirocco.

You don't even see GRID with tyre texture marks on the tarmac dude. Just grey lines.

Waits to be proven wrong....

I have always agreed with damage being more realistic. It is not because it isn't realistic as it is now, but I want to see damage when people have head on collisions on cruise servers, fluid leaks, wheels falling off, or even the engine cutting off completely!:munching_

The number of wreckers will go down ten fold... or will they rise?

Good news, and bad news:

Good news, n4g has the complete list for DiRT 2 (with screenshots)
http://www.n4g.com/wii/News-372323.aspx

Bad news: 25 cars (and only some are rally cars.)

WTF codemasters, 25 cars in a £40 console game? They better offer alot of dlc for free, otherwise it is going to be a miss.
