I dislike putting fake parts on the cars in general, but branding an FXO with BMW of Honda isn't really that bad.

It's bad when you put a grill from an actual car ontop of your skin and fake lights, that's bad.

Also I can't say I dislike F1 designs being skinned to the BF1. It may be a BMW Sauber, but it's the only F1 car in the game so why not crisp it up with another car design to ease the pain of seeing 32 similar BF1 cars on the start grid?

I've been working off of this template and not the actual car.
And also that render really, and I mean really, makes the skin bright. I'll post some CMX Viewer screens some time.

Cheers

I've finished my personal version.

I've handed the .psd file to MAGGOT so unless he provides a public version this isn't going to be public. So far that is.

Nordschleife ftw!

I'd be willing to pay around £1-5 for an addon including extra tracks, including real ones.
I think if it were done like this devs could attain licenses and maybe even more sponsors for the game and great publicity.

I've mentioned this on MSz, but this is going to be a personal skin so far.

Will maybe create a public version with the original US flag and number.

This is what I've got so far.

Looks like you just used the original picture of the design layout from the porsche and slapped it on the FZR.
Well I'm nearly done now. I'll work on it some more later today and post a screenie.

Sorry about that. Silly me just copy pasting it from MSz.

Fixed.

As it's not much different from the FZ5 I'll try when the design is finished. No promises though.

I have a G25 on XP and this is what I did to configure it.

Plug in all cables to the wheel.
THEN plug it into the pc(USB) and it'll selfcalibrate(rotating from 100% left to right turn).
Install the driver software either downloaded or from the driver cd. Follow instructions 100%.
Open the Logitech Gaming something and a picture of your G25 will pop up and show you all the buttons on it.
Go to settings and unified settings(don't remember 100% if that's what it's called). And remove the hack on the unified gas and break axis. That'll set the brake and gas pedals to seperate axis'.
Boot up LFS and go to settings. Choose your G25 and find the settings for the brake, speeder, clutch axis. There you can set up all your axis needs
Next is the gear. You'll have to set the gears up as buttons. Under the gear tab thing you'll find all the buttons and when you click ex. 1st gear you'll have to set the stick into first gear. It should recognise it.

That's how I did/do it when I plug my G25 in. Minus installation ofcourse.

If you can handle your way around MsPaint you can take the basics of tools and it's really alot the same in Photoshop.

Though Photoshop is heavier, has alot more features and is more advanced. Basics it's the same.

What I suggest is just try the basic tools out first. Paint brush, pencil, eraser, paint bucket and gradients. Then try to make a new layer and paint a bit on it. The try to click the little eye that's on it. That'll describe what a layer is pretty good.
When you know how to use those go for the tutorials.

Quote from Zipppy :we should have a zip or a rar of the contestants' skins

Only top voted skins to ensure quality and lesser filesize.

Seriously alot of these skins needs alot more love and people should learn not to skin in paint. Anti Aliasing is also a good thing.

Quote from al heeley :erm, daloonie has a castrol skin which by the comp rules should not be accepted for the judging. Sorry.

There's 2 Castrol skins in the competition. And since Castrol is ingame I suppose it's allright just as Intel, ATL, Credit Suisse etc. which are on the BMW Sauber.

That's because they're both made up by the skinners themselves. The dragon exhaust logo is available on master-skinnerz and it's foretold that the cell+ is on it's way.
Hence they ofcourse have permission to use them.
