Harder doesn't necessarily always mean more realistic, but I like the way this patch is heading.

Quote from mobiholik :i dont know is this is right, but is that normal what hapend wiht my FBM ?? watch reply !
bl1 ---> 2. lap

Yeah that looks fine to me, your left side was completely loaded in the turn and you ramped the inside off the curb, causing it to roll.

As this screen shows the default tach colors sometimes exactly match the ground color in south city, making it impossible to read(as in screenshot), I switched the colors to black so they are readable but maybe a better default or a drop shadow would help?

I suppose this is an interface bug, when associating a .set file to open with lfs instead of copying it to the setups folder it still copies it to the settings folder

Quote from Kancel :Probably a bug:
Engine doesnt stall when the driving wheels are locked up, either cause by handbrake or foorbrake, in manual clutch mode.

Actually it does stall it, the revs drop to zero and if you shift to neutral and stop the engine will be off. In your example it just push starts itself back alive when you unlock the wheels and it still has forward speed

On cars like the lx6 when close to flat shifting(keeping gas down when pressing the clutch to shift then letting off the clutch) even on a fresh clutch the rpms will just slowly drop down to match what it should be at. It would seem like the clutch would have more grip than that, how can it slip so much when it's not even hot?

I've been heel toeing with mine since the G25 first came out, no issues at all

In that case we should easily surpass 60 pages

Here is a question we can ponder while waiting, which of the following would generate more complaints/annoyance in the community:

Giving an estimated date that is not firm and then possibly having to postpone it past that date
(saying we will try to get it out next wednesday but make no promises)

OR

Saying nothing and have everyone sit around wondering and filling up threads with anticipation.

I know Scawen prefers to not give any date and just release it when he can thinks fit, but wouldn't even a vague estimate be better than nothing? It just seems like people will complain about it not being out early enough whether you post an expected date or not, so what is gained by not saying anything?

One of the paddle shifters on my g25 stopped working, so I took it apart and ran a new wire and fixed it. Better than trying to hassle with customer service and only maybe getting a replacement. Having a EE degree helps though

37.89, I recalibrated my wheel inside lfs so that about 45 degrees either way was lock to lock then selected calibration lock so I could turn the wheel back and forth just about instantly. The course wouldn't be as painful with a rwd car where you could whip the rear around.

You skipped a cone Riders Motion

Some of your posts remind me of what people must of thought in the 1400s, why would you want to explore over the ocean and find more land? What could you possibly do that you couldn't do here? There is plenty of land around here for people, It would only be a waste to have more. ie people saying what we have now is perfect and there could never be a reason to want anything else. Wanting to do something just for the hell of it is sometimes a good enough reason.

Quote from Intrepid :what do u want though? some half baked cars, and tracks.... and apparently karts???

As if two years isn't enough time to make one decent new track?

Quote from h3adbang3r :I went on the server for a bit to see what the hype was, and I saw the 2 players that had no registered S2 name. This can be an extremely serious threat to the sake of LFS and greatly slow down development of the game because Scawen has to waste his time keeping hackers from using malicious programs to get into legal S2 servers.

The time was lost when the bug was created in the first place, it's not the people who saw/exploited the flaw that are responsible for it being there. (If there is indeed an issue)

This thread wouldn't even be here if the devs would provide new content every once and awhile(over 2 YEARS since a new track was released)

Quote from Kid222 :I agree. I've been playing LFS for almost 2 years but last few months i feel that i'm not interrested in LFS so much like one year earlier, because i'm getting bored.

+1, I haven't been playing LFS much lately simply because it's the exact same content that I have been playing for forever. New tracks and content would be the best thing that could happen to LFS right now.

Anyone else think there are surprisingly few details about the actual cases on that website? What is the record of the appeals cases? They only offer a very short explanation of what actually happened, saying that he was indeed at the scene of the crime and assisted the murderer. Why should we believe he is innocent when they offer no evidence to prove that?

Are people going to say that if someone is driving the getaway car for a bank robbery then that person shouldn't also be charged with bank robbery?

Quote from PlusP :One of the best things about LFS is the fact that most of the cars and tracks are not real. The developers don't have to waste their collective energies in recreating real-life tracks and cars. Instead, they can focus on more important aspects in the game that please the community as a whole.

One of the best things is that people have no easy way to gauge the realism of what is supposed to be a simulation of real life driving? If people could identify where the sim fails at doing something right then it would be easier to correct it and make it better. Unless you want to say making a realistic sim is a waste of time and the devs should just make something fun so they can make money.

Quote from DieKolkrabe :I don't give a shit if you all hate me. I do my talking out on the track. Why don't you people as well? Come on, or are you all chicken?

Did anyone else find this ironic? If you do your talking on the track why are you posting?

Are people really so thin skinned around here?
