What would the point of bracket racing be when everyone can race EXACTLY the same car? All it would do would introduce how well you can sandbag.

Simply the ability to red light would make drag racing much more fun, then you would actually have to have a good reaction time rather than just holding down the gas like it is now. I think this should be the first addition to drag racing before any of the other suggestions.

With the slider all the way to the left and the saturation around 85-95% is a close color I think, just guess something that looks kind of close.

Altho that report is from 2000, looks like manual cars are indeed more wide spread over there.

Quote from Spudster :mine would be the top gear track

And if we had a good version of the top gear track we could probably get them to feature it on the show, instant publicity!

Quote from ajp71 :...

You make so many ridiculous statements that it would probably be a waste of time to list them all. Such as "American force may have been a necessary evil", since when is being strong considered evil? Saying people wouldn't be remembered if they didn't die at the hand of terrorists? By nature you can never negotiate with terrorists, because you will only encourage them to do more.

"I've never seen or been affected by an armed crime can many Americans honestly say that?"
If you mean in person, then yes, they can.

It's clear BMX is spouting a typical my country is better than yours sentiment and I dont see any real intelligent discussion coming as a result of it, but I'm not one to get in the way of a growing flame war. +1 for locking this thread

I would say that I am proud to be an American and would rather live here than anywhere else, but of course I am a bit biased

This wasn't a political thread to begin with, just a post remembering those who have lost their lives defending their country.

Thanks for the great program!

One thing I saw is that when you sort by number of connections it sorts by string rather than the number, meaning servers with 12, 10, people are sorted between severs with 2 and 1 connections instead of being at the top.

Quote from Tanuva :what I would really like to see:
When spoilers are set flat enough that they point upwards on some situation, they should create some sort of impetus and the car begins to float...

I'm still waiting for when this will be able to happen in LFS: http://video.google.com/videop ... 2218551122&q=car+flip

Through two revolutions of its crankshaft, the ME firing cycle is equivalent to a 32 cylinder reciprocating engine, that is, it fires 32 times. As a result, its displacement is equivalent to an 848 cubic inch reciprocating engine, despite its compactness.

Does that make sense to anyone else?

Quote from Hankstar :I like chocolate ice cream with nuts. Vanilla is shallow. Tasty, I'll admit, but shallow. Having to eat the chocolate around the nuts (or crunch straight through them at an appropriate time) requires more strategy than just slurping straight through the vanilla.

Being in the industry I know more about how to eat ice cream than you, unless you are a confectioner or dairy farmer.

Lol, that has to be one of the best posts here ever.

It says that in LFS the doppler effect isn't implemented, isn't that just when your camera is stationary and the car goes by coming to it's sound is higher pitched then when it passes you, isn't that in lfs?

I think the timer at the end of the cockpit cam video shows 59.0. And it looked wet out there, so probably could drop a good amount of time.

You could introduce a system where each racer has a ranking, and if you beat someone with a higher ranking than you in a race then you gain more ranking than if you beat no one or if you beat a bunch of new people. It would be tricky to get a good formula but I think it could be interesting.

I know I will probably be ordering it the first chance I get. And if it is limited edition then later on I will be able to sell it and make back most of my investment(although right now I can't think of any reason I would want to sell it)

Is it just me or is there no demo that shows the current ability of rfactor? The only one I could find on their site is over a year old. I have heard of it but never tried it, and I definetly would want to test it before dropping $40 on it.
