Fantastic, thank you.

Don't know how I am the quickest RAC driver currently. Could be:

a: nobody else has practiced
b: I've improved somewhat in the last week
c: technical error

I'm sure I'll find out in the coming days ...

He he, I matched my 1:26.99 in the final lap of qualifying tonight. Started 15th in pool 2, and finished 5th.

I hope Ant will talk us through the final lap in the race from his perspective . Seriously bad luck that one, me thinks. I watched the replay of your first lap too - did anybody not hit you! That was like pinball.

What a lot of action on server 2 in the first lap! I've not seen so many comings together in a league race for ages.

Apologies to 'Who Cares' - I caught you in lap 9 on corner 5 and we both spun. I was blocking the track and had to move quickly, getting hit as I did so by another driver, and passed a couple of times. I thought that one of those drivers was the one that I'd hit - I didn't realise it was yourself until i watched the replay. Sorry .

After lap 12 I was on my own for the next 38 laps, not seeing another car except for a couple of backmarkers near the end. I tried to catch the car ahead, but the gap stabilised when it was down to about 7 secs. I eased off towards the end to ensure I got the car over the line.

Well done to all the admins for organising the events. It's been fun.

done a 26.9 Beat that.

I had 1 last try tonight to get into the 1:26s, but couldn't get there whilst online. I then decided to do 1 hotlap session so that I could save my replay, and hit a 1:26.9 in the fourth lap . I uploaded it to LFSWorld, in case you don't believe me .

Oh, forgot to mention, if you count the hundredths of a second I'm still behind you Ant.

Well done all, great little competition to end the season with.

Quote from psychometalist :lol I'm too embarassed to go online and do a lap.

What a difference a day makes, eh? You're down in the 1:27s and improving now.

I find whenever I start a combo I'm usually very slow. But build it up slowly, learning consistency first, then learning where to push and make up the time. It also greatly helps to race online with others, and pick up a setup that suits your style. Maybe I should keep quiet ... there's already too much competition with Ant and Isty, without another driver challenging for that top spot.

With 2 weeks to go, I think we'll see at least another 14 sign-up. Hopefully more, which'll guarantee 2 grids. The more the merrier

To reduce nerves in a league race, I would suggest practicing the first lap from the grid with race fuel and setup. If you know your grid position, even better. If you have all your braking points and lines around the corners committed to memory, the first lap should be easier. If possible, try practicing on a public server too, to get used to driving in traffic on the track. The first lap will usually be 'exciting', but thereafter just settle into a rhythm. A consistent driver is often just as effective as a fast driver who loses time when having an off.

For the current league, drivers signing up were ranked according to previous participation. An additional criteria for future leagues could be whether the driver has dropped out of any leagues without providing a reason. At least that might encourage a bit of communication before anybody stops racing in the league.

The grid has remained sizable during all the previous leagues, even if numbers do reduce a little.

I'm sure there will be some DNF, but there needn't be. I've had a great session this evening with some very fair drivers. If you respect the other drivers, and don't try aggressive manoeuvres up the inside, the racing can be close and very intense.

I would strongly recommend joining quite a few practice races though, so that you know where the sensible overtaking places are.

I've done a few laps off-line, and this circuit is rather more challenging than I was expecting in the RAC. The first corner will take some practicing to learn a safe speed and line. Likewise the run down towards turn 3, with that nasty bump in the road just before the braking zone. I'm still hoping the nimble RAC will outperform the FZ5 here though.

I see the server has been changed for this circuit, but is password protected. Any reason?

Quote from BlueFlame :I didn't hit anyone with force at the start like you make it sound Bozo:P

I didn't say that. If I hadn't braked when I did coming into the chicane, you would have squashed me against the FZ5 to my right. Given that the RAC is a rather fragile car, I would not have survived without damage.

You did come into the corner very fast compared to the other cars. Having a T1 incident is never a good result. I'm glad that I took the avoiding action that I did.

Well, qualified in 21st place, finished in 17th. I was happy with that for the first event, it was in the points.

I was cautious coming into the first chicane on L1, and had to take avoiding action as BlueFlame came from a long way back and tried to push me into the FZ5 at the other side of me. I braked and he hit the other FZ5 instead. I lost a position, but if I'd not held back I'd have been driving a rather damaged RAC after that one.

Slowly made up some places as others made the odd mistake, and even passed somebody on the track, although I got passed by another FZ5 at the same time, so my position didn't change.

Enjoyed the race, and I'm looking forward to South City. Hopefully the RAC will help me to get an even better result there.

Well done to Dan for getting the results up so quickly.

Quote from danowat :Yes, the standings were wrong, now updated (I need to change the names though.......)

I think the website standings are still wrong. Someone has been added in at around position 12-14 that shouldn't be there. Everyone below that has been moved down by one place at the moment. You finished 15th Dan, but are 16th on the website, and likewise for all below you.

Quote from danowat :I "may" make it shorter, but for now, it's as is.

Hope not! Most of the races feel too short, and it was a good idea to add some variety into the RSWC. Given that we start relatively early in GMT time, and usually promptly at 19:30, the racing will be done by 21:30. So no late night.

As a one off event in the calendar, I'd prefer to see it remain as a challenge ... which it will be in the RAC!

From in game, can only see Adaptive Racing Event Server, which is featuring BL GP.

The only server running Aston GP Rev is SNRT Training Center.

UF1 and possibly F08 drivers needed. Be nice to have a full grid for this one, with all cars present. Any other drivers going to sign up?

Quote from zeugnimod :Why? As I understood it this isn't about winning but about finishing as close together as possible. Driving slower than you can or than you will drive on Friday night destroys the whole concept.

Very true. I just think there is not the same motive to do your best lap in practice as when qualifying for a 'normal' race ... the harder you drive during the practice, the faster you'll need to be in the event. If you take it easy in practice, you've got more of a margin to get up to the UF1 by the finish.

Does that not take away some of the urgency?

Maybe I'm taking this too seriously
