Stop talking if you don't have a clue what you're on about. How do you think we ran a 600bhp GTR dedi server in MoE without tweak? Available here if you want to try it (0.5Z28 though).
I have only 10 cars enabled to help with fps, so I can't check the whole of relative; if I'm in an MC race I'd like to see straightaway what position a) I am in and b) what position the cars around me from the other classes are in, without having to go to the F2 menu, get the other class, then scroll down to actually see where those other cars are in their class if they aren't in the top 7 - bearing in mind that it's not as easy as a single class where you can press the left/right button and it'll focus on your position.
Knowing what position cars in other classes are in is useful as if you're in the faster car, you don't want to be interrupting a battle for the lead, etc.
Well for Brits/Europeans there's not much we can relate to in NASCAR, it goes on for hours, half the time it's on late at night and we have to watch it through justin.tv but people still watch it. Same with V8s, GP2, Indycar, etc., although the last two do have some British/European drivers in them.
Generally it's a case of keeping up to date with who has won, watch clips on youtube/darcyf1 etc. and then downloading the race later (from RFM) if you didn't manage to catch it live. Not sure why you don't want to watch a taped broadcast, surely better as you can FF if it gets boring
Good thing for you is the final race of the season is in Brazil, so that's 11am http://www.speedtv.com/programs/formula-one/ (or go to f1.com and check the session times in EST)
It's fun to race and lap with, it puts a smile on your face when you've done a good lap as you know you've done well in keeping it on the track and under control. You need to be careful on the throttle, brake early, and kinda drive it slow and smooth to go fast and keep the tyres from getting worn too much. Might not be realistic, but meh when a lot of the cars are broken anyway you might as well have fun with it
In terms of participation only 9 other car classes were above it last season (HPD O/F, SM, Skippy, MX-5 O/F, Mustang and Solstice/SRF) - ok, half of the drivers were Aussies and their main races are Mondays at 1045 GMT, but there's enough other races through the weekend for you to have some fun racing it - especially as this week is Watkins Glen.
mmm lots of fake glare for no reason
LLM car going backwards at the start, no surprise there
default LFS cameras
vignette throughout for no reason
looks like it's 4:3
is that LLM wrecking someone at the AS7 hairpin? Oh wait it's their own teammates, nevermind
looks like you fitted a wide-angle lens to the cameras at Fern Bay
I'm curious as to why you can't just set the race to 1 hour and then manually do /laps=x once the leader crosses the line after 30 minutes have elapsed, if no one will make an app?
Airio cannot stop LFS commands, the only way /axload wouldn't work is if you either were not an admin or there was no layout with the name you're trying to load on your server.
SR is a measure of corners per incident (CPI) over your last couple of thousand corners. To promote you need you need to be 3.0 by the end of the season and have done your MPR, or 4.0 and you get promoted instantly. Read the sporting code to learn more about things.
Maybe you should try a decent setup for the Legend, those things are nimble so hardly a milk float...
Well, slightly different to a "server crash" when there's a problem at the data centre. I suppose if you compare it to having 500 servers as your sole server provider, it's 100x better I've only seen unscheduled maintenance a handful of times in the couple of years I've had iRacing.
You get 6 cars and 10 tracks free, which allows you to do the 2 Rookie series on both road and oval, without paying anything other than your subscription. I certainly wouldn't advise anyone to buy anything at all until they've done 1 season in the Rookie cars, and understand how things work in iRacing.
Of course, as with everything in life, you get what you pay for. I'm not in the habit of extravagant spending, and I'm certainly not wanting to give iRacing a lot of money, so I have wisely bought the minimum amount of cars and tracks to do the series I like to race in. As you can see from season 4 schedule, buying a track like Watkins Glen or Mid Ohio means you get to use it in almost every series, so although the $621.68 (20% off for 6 items) in content fees may seem a lot, buying a couple of the most used tracks will certainly mean you can get your moneys worth.
At the end of the day, it depends on what you want to race as well - you don't buy oval content if you're a road racer, etc. so unless you want to race everything under the sun, you don't need to spend too much.
Road car enduro sounds like a plan, the tyres can last a lot longer than GTR ones, so would be interesting with strategy to see if you could at least double stint them. Doesn't need to be a hugely complex league or anything, just a few events spread out with various cars, tbh you don't need SCs - and provided it's supported and promoted enough it should do well.
You say he had a light on his dash, the problem is when we saw him passing the double waved yellows the time remaining at the top of the screen showed the yellows had been removed a good 4-5 seconds before he got to the flags. Now, if the yellow light on the dash system works from GPS/race control, he may not have got that light when he came round turn 17.
All in all a bit strange, as you'd have thought the corner before would also be yellow on account of the double waved after it - normally there's a lot more obvious "yellow" about.
