You've done 59 miles online in LFS - you haven't even touched the amazing bit of the game which is online multiplayer racing, you don't need shitty looking low quality BMWs and Nissans to have great racing.
So the program says someone overtook under SC. Why would drivers do that? Do they think that they can get away with it? That says more about the admins, penalties applies for overtaking under SC and other drivers if they don't protest it.
But would you be entirely confident of the program's accuracy? I wouldn't and would probably feel the need to double check it before giving someone a race ruining penalty.
Generally with competent admins, hefty penalties and drivers that report passing under SC or who fall into line in close calls, there's no real need for this.
Generally the difference between SCs/FCCs are what they are brought out for, and their length. If you had watched Petit Le Mans for instance, you'd know they are brought out in America when generally in the rest of the world they'd be covered by waved yellows and a snatch vehicle. And they last a lot longer, when you've got the danger cleared away within a lap or two, the pits are still closed and the pass by is being conducted, then the pits open for LMP/GT on separate laps, then you have the wave by, and finally back to green after what seems like ages.
Just do some searching on youtube for various international series "le mans 2011 crash" etc will get you plenty of stuff to watch and see the differences.
Actually just remembered that the Britcar 24 hour race at Silverstone was red flagged a couple of years ago in the late night/morning due to fog - basically if you can't see the next marshals' post you know there's a visibility problem!
Hmm that's a strange thing with the main image and empty position - any chance you could zip up your tracker folder and database, then PM/email them to me? Thanks
I had thought about that feature request, the problem is though the tracker doesn't really know when a new session has started. I could however make a page in the admin section which would delete/move the html files, I'll have a look into that.
Go to single player, select Autocross and the layouts beginning with AU1_ should appear on the list.
To access those that sinanju mentioned, you need to press ctrl and an X and Y should appear beside the list of tracks - click on X to access, for example, FE1X_ layouts.
Well the lack of Watkins (most popular track 2 seasons ago) in the Star Mazda is shocking yes, iRacing decided to use a schedule posted by some arsehole who has now buggered off and doesn't race - he said when challenged that it had been on the schedule for a while but then so has Road America and Sillystone! VIR is one of the least used, see http://members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/1490236.page
I'm calling bullshit, because no series has absolutely none of the tracks it had in the past. Either that or you bought the tracks that were hardly used anyway, so your own fault. But please, do tell us exactly what cars/tracks you have.
I know, some of the pro-Sky trolls are unbelievable!
Nearly every country, however as part of the Concorde agreement F1 cannot be shown only on pay TV in the UK and other major TV markets. The BBC had a year remaining on their contract and instead of letting it lapse to allow another FTV broadcaster to take their place, they got into bed with Sky for the next 5 years. At that point, if no FTV broadcasters were willing to step up to the plate, then Bernie would have to reduce his price to keep it on FTV.
In the end it will not increase viewers contrary to what Bernie says, so for F1 it's a bad move.
I don't pay Sky anything because it's a luxury I can't afford. £653 is the cost for 1 year of Sky with Sky Sports, and HD, or £5/month less if you don't want the full channel bundle including stuff like Eurosport.
They've said no adverts from the beginning, and if you're paying £600 for 10 races - you still need Sly Sports or Sly HD - then you'd expect that. Apart from HD practice sessions, maybe more red button stuff and watching it on your iPad while on a train or something then there's not much difference to the BBC's coverage or Channel 4's bid. In fact you could probably already watch it on the BBC website on your iPad.
Sky won't be getting anywhere near the BBC audience, which will probably fall itself, making it a losing situation all round - just because the BBC renewed their contract early.
Doesn't change anything for the majority of F1 followers without Sky - we'll still be watching it somehow!
I went round the outside of about 3 cars in Old Hall/The Avenue, and then the inside guys wrecked Got up to 8th but was 4secs away from 6th before I failed at Hislops. The 6th placed guy half-spun down to 7th halfway through, and lost out to 6th by 0.13s
