Quote from AstroBoy :Has next seasons schedule been released yet? Or still to early?

No, but there's a forum for discussions.

Use the MX-5 Roadster, it's faster. Ignore D class cars until next season, run the SRF and Solstice, as well as the MX-5 at Okayama, also do some Legends - plenty for you to race without buying anything. SR is how safe you are, iRating is how good you are basically. You start with 1300 iR so at least you've gone up

Then just race the two rookie series and save up some money for the Skippy/couple of tracks. Master the SRF and it'll help you a lot.

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :But I clearly agree on the LMS licensing thing anyway, I hope it's not gonna end up with 80% of the field taking the fastest car, like in the Grand-Am Series.

Problem with Grand-Am is that people moving up from D want to make that step up, probably having already done the Mustang in class D, so go for the DP. Then you have the fast guys obviously wanting the faster class glory. Also the DP used to be a class A and then B car, now class C, means some people aren't ready for it, so aren't too good with the multi-class thing. Then the slowness of the Mustang compared to the DP also adds to the chances of being raped by a DP, so it does put a lot of people off it

Hopefully (A)LMS being class B, and the cars being closer together will help, and the fact that the slowest car is new so people will want to try it.

Would be cool if we could have all of the colours and select them via the tyre manufacturers

Well it's been a month since we did the test rally, and I said we'd have round 1 in June - unlikely given we have 1 more day left! The timeslot seemed to work well though, so we'll keep the same one. Next Sunday is OWRL, so we'll probably have it the weekend after, Sunday 10th July, and it will be the Rally of South City

Any other comments welcome

If you run the code in a separate php file, and echo $rid_string, don't you get this?

<?php
AND ( race_id='123' OR race_id='89' OR race_id='123'
?>

Web tracker
  • Fixed a bug where IE would not show shorthand hex colour values correctly on racecontrol.html page
  • Added default css for each row where no class exists
  • Added 3 letter ISO alpha 3 for flag filenames
  • $trackerMode = “qualifying”/”practice” allows update.php to choose the files to allow qualifying tracking to happen, defaults to race
  • Added username to span title on current driver
  • Fixed a bug where the time remaining countdown would show “and xx seconds”
  • Track status tracking now searches for race control phrases inside server messages (uppercase only)
  • Tracker did not read teamStatus in teams.csv
Local tracker
  • Qualifying, practice and race now available (boolean settings in lines 6-8 of insim/vr.php)
  • Track code now shows in race table on restarts
  • Optional: Added ability to track car resets
  • Optional: show penalties from autocross race results in FINISH database entry
  • Optional: IGTC 2011 balancing, 2% + 5kg on FZR, shows “BAD JOIN” in racecontrol.html when a car does not have this.

  • db.sql now contains an extra field for “time”
Docs
  • updated countries

Currently integrating qualifying/practice results display, having used it for LFSCART/iTCC in a separate tracker.

Quote from Tony Gardner :To try and stop the speculation and rumors, neither are that close to being done unfortunately, again big projects and other things in this build took longer than expected like heat racing and pop-up chat so I would NOT expect endurance racing/driver swaps and uppgraded sound system anytime before the build after this 2.0 build, so we are talking about the Fall. Our apologies.

Quote from EQ Worry :These are A11, A12, A13, A21, A22, A23, B11, F11, K31, K32 plus all their reversed versions. To check layout, I intend to hard-code the positions of check points (splits) that must match with expectation. So the positions of split lines and finish line have to be correct and never changed.

To be extra sure I think also route checkers could be used? I do not have much experience with layouts, but if the route checkers are placed on some suitable places between checkpoints, Airio could also verify these and make extra sure the layout/track is valid. So I would suggest adding route checkers after every crossroad. Signs showing where to turn next and how far it is would be great to have for better orientation.

Then there's the question on B23 and B23R.

Added the aforementioned layouts to this post, we'll have more of them soon. Now that we can select groups of objects and transfer them between layouts, we shouldn't have to do the old copy layout, rename and flip splits trick

Route checkers, hmm, well generally the splits and the objects do a good enough job of keeping people on the right track, and the problem is people would be spectated for taking the wrong route instead of having the chance to correct their mistake. Personally we'd rather route checkers were left to individual admins if they felt like they were needed.

As for B23/R - ok they perhaps are not something to be used for too long on a server - we had them in 3 lap races, but that was without the barriers around the lake so people would fall off there. They are still good fun though, if an admin is online to watch out for people exiting the pits. Meh, if you can do it, fine, but don't worry too much about it.

Quote from EQ Worry :My question is: Can I include the supported layouts directly in Airio distribution (with appropriate info), or would you people working on the layouts prefer just a link to this thread? If they can be distributed, the layouts will have simple names such as A23.lyt or K32R.lyt for much easier loading.

Fine by us to remove the names - but we'll still keep the names on the layouts in this thread if that's alright?
