Very good topic!

In the past, I have dedicated a part of my time trying to help out members to acheive greater standards for their skins. It could have been as simple as a little touch up to a full scale remake ( like Keisu's which btw was a bit of a pain in the ass because it was the first time skinning in 4096 resolution)

For the past few years, I have skinned various cars from the little UF1 to the BF1, tried various techniques, styles. My bests of all times were not made in the past months, but in the year 2006. Which is suprising to some.

doriftoKids personalized team skin
year: 2006
car: XRT / RB4
time to complete: 2 months and countless hours of trial and error, crashes, frustation.
note: those were the times when beauty did not need bodykits.

Notorious Fruity Drifters team skin.
year: 2006
car: LX4
time to complete: close to 2 months
note: Back then, there were no skinning kit for the LX4. Everything was made by nudging and guessing.

Generation 1 JDM*F skin
year: 2007
car: XRT/ RB4 / FZ5
time to complete: 1 month
note: Very controversial skin when it came out. Along with inc. (Chris Cummins), we were the only ones making bodykits for the cars. It made a lot of noise in the drift community. Although it was highly inspired by inc.'s version, this one was made from scratch. Pioneering a kit from no resourse took a good 30+ hours of searching, nudging, and frustration. Nowadays, copy / paste and you have a bodykit. Don't take things for granted.

Note 2: From then on, Charlie joined me and created the amazing skins we see today. Only used by JDM*F members, design dude's public skins, and obviously, the DrftMstr garage.

Note3: Imageshack is being a pain in the arse now. no pics yet.

let's not get too serious. If I was serious, I would be out there drifting a real car.

It's fun to see a non-Torque event. There are a wide variety of people here. From haters to rice boys to anything

Maybe the LX is a good addition. God... I will hate to see CB on it.

edit: while I'm at it too. No drift points BS.

FXO can stay but it's going to get eaten alive by an RB4 and the FZ5 on corners.

By the way, good effort trying to organize an event. It is alot of work

Teachers are much better. Once you have developed the wrong intonations, and a bad accent, it is very hard to correct it. Chinese isn't the easiest language. School and face to face learning is much better. I speak Cantonese fluently. At age 10, I started learning Mandarin, which is very different, and even 10 years later, I still have a funny accent when I speak Mandarin.

Yes, I'm Chinese.

Looking at the replies makes me think owning a car in UK must suck balls.

Nothing over 1200cc. That is like impossible in N.America. All I can say is take your time to choose wisely.

My suggestion: keep the 1000 pounds, and save some more. Then, instead of buying some subcompact rubbish like all teens do, maybe you can get something more upscale.

personal experience: I wanted something simple and mod it. I was fixed on a Civic hatchback 1992 with rust and rough body. since I knew I can get bodywork done for free, I was almost sold. good thing I waited 3 more months and for a mere 400 more, I found a very good condition BMW 525i 5 speed. And on the meantime, I can still save up for an ultimate track car

Trust me, you won't regret it.

I know it's a M-tech front bumper, what about the rims? and also can you tell how low has this owner dropped it? I am looking to replicate this look, with 17" of course

I'm taking a break from Skylines and Nissan to settle down for a bit during university...

I went to something less provocative.
1990 BMW 525i, 16" BBS rims, Bilstein coilovers. It was featured in the film "Ronin"
