my god, that was one of my old posts... let's just back on topic. I was a bit hot-headed.

Americans are good with their V8s, kinda... compared to jap V8s but who really cares... it's just a point of view...

Quote from Fordman :Well there is 2 questions here atm and i will address the both of them.

1. Why join a Team?

Well there is hundreads of reason to join a Team. YOu get to make new friends. You get to build a relationship with these people that they become very good friends. You keep in contact off the track, and generally chat between each other. On the track, you get to race with people in the same cloths ( skins ) as you. You get to share moments of PB's and WR's with each other. You get an enjoyment of racing for your team and you get the support you would not get racing on your own. Most important, enjoy yourself and have some fun.

2. How do you Join a Team

Well that one is easy. You race on servers, you put your self about and make good conversation and laptimes. Speed is not everything in Team building, but generally being friendly and showing a slight bit of willingness helps along way. Most teams have a forum, so being active in there without being a team member helps, as its not always online track time teams are looking for. Generally be yourself and have a good time, and you cannot go wrong from there.

Most importantly, have fun and enjoy yourself ( damn have I said that before somewhere )

Thanks my honest opinion of team building.

Fordie

yes! that's the spirit! now, Go! the team hunting season has started! eumm not...

waybe something like Fern Bay Club, but with greater elevation change and narrower roads. I think that the touge idea will be unlikely on LFS...

Quote from jayhawk :Not every corner can be slid through; besides, drifting EVERY corner is silly and slow.

...

It is the point of drifting. Style and speed, precision, consistency. Up to now, i've seen power-sliding a XRT. I guess it must be mostly e-braking...

Come some time to Simx or IDD drift server, we'd be more then happy to provide u with some close drifts and be welcome to spec us for tips to improve ur line and drift

the only i liked about the film was the song... it's my fav ID song but yea, the gripping i mean the drifting is eummm not so good. u're too shy to floor the XRT. My RB4 can do better with less power.

hydrids: going on the green lol jk it's for rally
normals: for road courses, less grip but longer lasting
supers: for road courses, ++ grip short lifespan.

Quote from Matrixi :My post didn't mean to be offensive, if that's what it looked like. With host I meant the service provider for the web space of torque. I know Bunta/Nuvolari is working hard to get it working, and he should take all the time he needs to get it working.

i didn't even say your post was offensive lol

drift setups have massive understeer because at the beginning an oversteer has to initiated from an understeer. During the understeer, ppl will either attempt to brake drift ( most basic technique) , weight shift or clutch kick, etc... and the rear wheels will spin at a different speed from the front, which will induce into a drift. a overtseer set, it will just snap oversteer, it's very easier to spin out.

I make understeer sets to force myself to weight shift eveytime i go around a corner. When i attend competitions, i have neutral sets so i can be more "forgiving" (not the right word) due to stress, errors, etc
